Angela reviewed: Bring Your Own Upholstery Project - Buy 3 days and save.

"Sarah was great to work with. Every step was explained carefully and I feel I acquired plenty of knowledge to work on my own. It was also lovely to meet new people after the resent lock down in an extremely friendly atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoy and highly recommend particularly the afternoon cake. Angela"

Sarah Joseph reviewed: Traditional Leather Workshop (small leather goods)

"I wish I could give this workshop 6 stars ! I was lucky enough to have 1:1 tuition and could not believe what I managed to achieve in a day. Kingsley was flexible and extremely generous with his time and knowledge (and has great taste in music). The course was far from prescriptive and with no former experience I was able to make something slightly original. You could not find a better person to introduce you to leather !"

Lynn Hands reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"Attended a 1 day workshop with Jo yesterday. Fantastic day, Jo is an excellent teacher giving very clear hands on instruction at every stage of the process. Lovely bright studio to work in and lots of sculpture to be seen in the garden. Drinks, biscuits and ice-cream all freely given throughout the day. Very pleased with the results and will most likely book a 2 day workshop to make something bigger for the garden. Would thoroughly recommend ."

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Lynn! What a lovely week it's been. So glad you enjoyed the day and it would be great to see you here again for a Two Day workshop ;-) Jo xx"

Fiona Akins reviewed: One to one throwing sessions

"My daughter and I attended Karen's pottery class and had a great morning. The class was relaxed and informal, Karen talked us through the process of throwing the clay and demonstrated the process before letting us loose on the potters wheels. Throwing the clay is a lot harder than I thought it would be physically but would definitely have another go. Certainly would recommend a class with Karen. Was very impressed with the Covid procedures Karen has in place, felt a very safe environment, strict cleaning of utensils, no sharing of equipment, open window, hand sanitizer etc."

Lisa Davies reviewed: Introduction to Verre Églomisé

"Just finished this wonderful day course with Rachael - it was a LOT of fun! I, of course, chose quite an intricate image, but the result was gorgeous. Rachael was helpful, patient and accommodating - an excellent teacher. The gilding is tricky but very enjoyable and the etching is very rewarding when you see the final result. Very happy with this workshop and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a creative day course or just to try something creatively different. Thanks Rachael!"

Rachael Milligan at Little Leaf Studio responded:

"Thank you for a wonderful day Lisa! I’m really glad you enjoyed it. I’m so pleased you were able to complete the etching today-it was indeed an intricate image, but the final result was superb! I’m looking forward to seeing it when it’s dried!"

Sally Barth reviewed: Wet felting workshop: Introduction to picture making in Henstridge near Stalbridge Dorset & Somerset

"Attended the wet felting workshop last week and I wasn’t disappointed. It isn’t the first course of Sally’s that I’ve attended and as previously it was so well organised. The joining instructions include everything you could possibly want to know beforehand and the course was specific to my needs. I came away with a piece of felting that I can further embellish with embroidery etc. I loved it and it was fun! Thank you. See you again xx"

"My wife booked a one day wood turning course with Les a a surprise birthday present. Although I had acquired some knowledge of wood turning some years ago Les was able to show me skills using a bowl gouge that I had not seen beforehand. Les is a fantastic teacher and with his skilful and knowledgeable guidance I was able to complete the difficult task of turning a yarn bowl. I had a fantastic day working with Les in his workshop. Thanks Les"

Pren responded:

Janice Porter reviewed: Experience the Japanese art of raku using fire and flame

"The Raku course I attended yesterday, in Susanne’s beautiful garden, was a revelation and an inspiration. Raku was not something I would have ever thought of doing, but as an inspired Birthday gift, it was a delightful day. The two ladies, Janet and Susanne, who run the course were welcoming and presented the art of Raku in a very accessible way for an inexperienced student. Everything was explained very clearly and I was involved in the whole process from choosing and applying the glazes, to putting the pots into the kiln, then removing them into sawdust filled dustbins. Lunch and drinks were provided and the whole day was quite magical, especially when i was able to return home with the beautifully glazed pots I had made. A thouroughly lovely day. Thank you to you all."

Gone To Pot Ceramics responded:

"Hi Janice, thank you so much for your kind review. If you think there is anything at all we can improve on please let me know. We are always trying to make the day the best we can. If ever you want to try and make a pot yourself please get in touch. So lovely to meet you we all enjoyed the day too! despite it being so hot. Kind regards Janet"

Alison M Lennox reviewed: Linocut one day workshop: one to one

"I had a wonderful day with Annette and was very pleased with what I took home. It was great to have all the attention rather than being in a bigger group where you might be struggling on on your own when someone else was being helped. it was a very friendly atmosphere in a lovely place and Annette and I chatted through the day, which was very nice. I learned an enormous amount in one day and lots of different techniques. Highly recommended."

Jan Floyd reviewed: One to One Candle Making Business One Day Course (Bexley -London)

"I did the 1 to 1 course with a friend and we had a fantastic teacher in Paula. We were lucky enough to be able to attend in person rather than over zoom and it is an amazing setting. The day was professional, informative, entertaining and gave us everything knowledge-wise we needed to start our own candle making business. Paula really knows her products and imparts so much useful information to help like minded people begin their set up in business. She also provides ongoing help as consultations and other workshops which complement the candle making. I feel we have made a friend and mentor Thank you Paula! xx"

Old Bexley Soap & Candle Co. responded:

"Thank you Jan, such a pleasure teaching you. I look forward to following your progress!. Paula"

Sue reviewed: The art of natural perfumery - weekend course

"I loved this course. It was a thoroughly lovely way to spend two days 'hands on' learning how to make an eau de cologne, eau de toilette and solid perfume. I will be buying some oils to keep practising at home. Rowan is a skilled and experienced teacher, who creates a relaxed atmosphere for her workshops - this is the second of her workshops I've attended, and I already have my eye on a third. The venue is beautiful. It's such a treat to be guided around Rowan's extensive herb gardens, munching on various leaves and flowers as you go. Thanks Rowan for a brilliant two days. I'll be back!"
