Liz wilson reviewed: Introduction to making mosaics (Beginner level)

"Absolutely loved this day! It is my first ever crafting course and it was great! Sally is so welcoming, friendly , helpful and of course knowledgeable. Sally creates a very relaxed atmosphere but we got lots done and we all managed to create some really good results and I must say, I was thrilled with mine and it has inspired me to do more at home and will definitely be booking other courses with Sally. The facilities are great and there were lots of resources to use with Sally on hand to give gentle advice and guidance. All round super day ?❤️?"

Craft Workshops responded:

"Thank you Liz - I'm pleased you enjoyed the Workshop so much :) You created a fabulous mosaic and I am looking forward to seeing what you make next! Many thanks for booking with me and I look forward to seeing you in the Workshop again soon :)"

Ajahnii Lewis reviewed: Beginners Epoxy Resin Workshop

"As someone who had zero experience working with and using epoxy resin, I took a gamble on this class hoping to learn the basics of a new skill. And I must say I've come away feeling incredibly confident about starting up this new hobby and possibly turning it into a business venture. Richard went above and beyond with his engaging explanations and demonstrations and really did his best to make the afternoon as fun and interesting as possible. I love the fact Richard offered to give us advice in the future if we reach out to him, and I for one will be sure to do so! I might even be back for a river table class..."

Brian Lodge reviewed: Two day dry stone walling course for beginners in association with Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain

"This was a great course and very professionally run by the DWSA, excellent Health & Safety and all Covid protocols observed. We all had a great time and were carefully guided through learning the skills of wall building in small teams with volunteer experts to keep us on the straight and narrow .The satisfaction of completing a stretch of dey stone wall that will probably last over 100 years is hard to capture in words .The organisation and instruction was first class and the venue of Ridge Farm at Diggle was fantastic .You do need to be reasonably fit as there is a lot of lifting and bending but well worth the effort .Highly recommended."

Roma Söderberg reviewed: Dala horse carving

"Lovely afternoon. Welcome CuppaTea. Super scones. Great teaching. Learnt safety! Carving techniques. Kept a watchful eye so no fingers lost ? Once techniques are learnt and practiced then no fear of this though! Alan is a patient teacher, obviously loves his craft. Very generous. Provides everything. Perhaps don’t wear black like I did! ? Give it a try and go home with a wee four legged friend."

"Thanks Jo for a wonderful 2 days of learning and laughing. I am more pleased with my mad Pukekos than I ever could have imagined. I can’t wait to see them running around the garden. Sue reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"What a fantastic day we had last Sunday at Jo's Hare Workshop. I took my friend for her surprise 60th birthday present and could not have been more delighted with the experience. Jo and her lovely husband made us all feel so relaxed and welcome to their beautiful home. The studio is set in glorious gardens that provided all the inspiration one could hope for. Neither my friend nor I are creative souls and have no experience in art or sculpture making- so we were a little apprehensive at the possible outcome. We needn't have worried though! With expert yet gentle guidance Jo took us through each stage of the process fuelled by plenty of refreshments and encouragement from the other 4 participants. It was a magical day in every way and we got to take home two leaping hare sculptures that were beyond our expectations. I cannot recommend this experience more highly than to say that - if I could- I would do a workshop every month and try everything. My friend and I came away feeling as if we had created something wonderful- and we truly had. Thank you Jo"

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you so much Sue! I'm so glad we finally beat the Covid postponements and finally had your friends surprise birthday present. Trying something new is always daunting and the big thrill for me at the end of each workshop is seeing people achieve a little magic ;-) Thank you for recommending the workshop and it would be a pleasure seeing both of you back again! Perhaps on a 2 day workshop for a bigger challenge!!!!! Jo x"

"Myself and my husband John attended a full day workshop (10 hours) creating a leaded glass panel and acquiring new skills on both glass leading and using tools relevant to complete a project. We are really proud of our end works and are now hanging in the garden. We were total beginners and impressed with the professionalism of the tutors' training style, knowledgeable and patience during the whole day. Fantastic tutors who are an asset to the art world. Keeley reviewed: Design a room in your home with weekly one to one consultations

"I am midway through my first house renovation and I find interior design comes naturally to me, however I wanted to work with a professional to push myself and my designs.... in comes Nikki. Her attitude and encouragement were amazing, and I found myself looking forward to our weekly discussions. She goes above what you would expect and I found her to be genuinely interested in my progress and design. Nothing is too much trouble and she would actively send me extra links/websites if she believed it would help me. I would say the course has helped me discover my own style and be able to break down the process of design. It is an excellent course that Nikki easily tailors to suit the students needs, whether that be a novice or aspiring interior designer. I cannot recommend this course enough!"

Greg Birkumshaw reviewed: Forge a Knife- Blacksmithing and Knifemaking Experience Day

"In times when Blacksmiths were an integral part of any evolving and thriving community, the blacksmiths shop was a part of, if not, actually the very dwelling of the smith themselves. So I was very excited and encouraged to see that Jon had not broke with the tradition and passion of having his forge within the confines of his dwelling, a sign that his passion for blacksmithing is integral to his way of life and family, just as it would have been… Cosy, independent and honest, not industrialised or corporate. I highly recommend arriving with a sketch of the blade or piece you would like to create, as Jon will assist, over and above, to help you forge something incredible. Thee best birthday gift ever. Thank you Jon, we will be back. Greg"
