V Lenaerts reviewed: Lino Printing on Fabric Day with Oxford Linocut Workshops - Fabric Printing

"An excellent day. Everything was exceptionally well organized and the day went very smoothly with enough time to complete the tasks. Claire was encouraging and helpful. I came away inspired to continue lino cutting after I have invested in some equipment. Claire's booklet received after the course will serve as an useful reference for further work."

Linda reviewed: Lino Printing on Fabric Day with Oxford Linocut Workshops - Fabric Printing

"Having recently attended the lino printing on fabric course, I can confirm that not only is Claire super-talented, but she is also an excellent teacher, patient and encouraging as well as knowledgeable. Class sizes are small, and the studio itself is spacious, all set in lovely surroundings. All in all, a lovely day spent creating, which I cannot recommend highly enough."

Sarah & Noah reviewed: Stonecarving Weekend, Gloucestershire Cotswolds

"My ten year old son, Noah, and I have just had the pleasure of attending this two day stone carving course with Sebastian. We both had the most wonderful time learning new skills & being creative. Sebastian's tuition and advice were perfectly pitched allowing us the time and freedom to develop our own ideas but offering guidance when we needed it. We were both delighted with our finished pieces and can't wait to experiment more at home."

Morris reviewed: Woodturning in Devon with Colin Simpson

".As Colin's web page indicates, he is prepared to tailor the tuition to your wishes. I sent him details of that which I wanted to cover and he did so in a clear and structured manner. He was patient and tolerant of my (many) mistakes and I really learned a great deal. His workshop is well fitted but there is plenty of room to observe his demonstrations and to work at the lathes. I highly recommend the training given by Colin – thank you. Also, lunch was very nice!"

Devon Wood Crafts responded:

"Thanks, Morris and if I can help in the future, please get back in touch. Please also let me know if the day just "scratched an itch" that you had or whether you intend to take woodturning further. Regards, Colin"

Graham and the guys are excellent tutors, explaining, then demonstrating each step. Any question answered and student techniques monitored through each stage to ensure you are doing the technique correctly. Very affable guys. Great environment; workshops as they should be."

ANN FYFE reviewed: Photography Days

"I spent a wonderful day with Sue and Richard on a 121 basis learning all about apertures, ISOs and shutter speeds. Being August it was heaving it down so despite driving to Glenridding and hoping for the rain to stop it was not to be, so we managed to grab a few outdoor shots from the carpark, and then the rest of the day was spent in the workshop. I'm happy to say that Sue is great at improvising and I still managed to practice the skills I needed. My passions are flowers and macro, and I learned about how to improve my photos and get off auto. I would recommend this course to anyone, whether total beginner or (like me) someone with a bit of knowledge but an 'auto' addict."

Art by Camera responded:

"Thanks for that, Ann. We look forward to hearing how you get on with your new macro lens."

Jane reviewed: Marvellous Mosaic one day workshop

"My first time mosaic-ing and so glad I chose Lindsey's course! Not only did I learn how to mosaic but I left with a completed piece which I could be proud of and which is good enough to show other people! I've surprised myself but definitely couldn't have achieved it without Lindsey's expertise and ability to support me at my pace. Aside from the mosaic-ing this is a day to relax, to submerge oneself in the experience of playing (which we don't often allow ourselves to do as adults) and to enjoy the mindfulness of being in lovely surroundings. And yes, I'll be going again!"

Lindsey Kennedy Portfolio responded:

"Thank you so much for the lovely review, Jane. It is very much appreciated and I am very pleased that you enjoyed your day so much. Equally thrilled that you would like to come and have another go, or even have a go at home. It is such an accessible craft, and you certainly embraced it during the workshop. Thank you for taking time to share your experience."

Jon Stokes reviewed: Creating a Viking knife an introduction to forging and knife making at Bearded Pig Forge

"I did the one day basic blacksmithing course, coming out of the end of the day with a knife (which when you start the day with a rectangular piece of steel seems a bit daunting!). Spike is an excellent teacher, explaining and demonstrating each part of the process at a time, and the pace of the day never feels rushed. He's also really patient, helping where needed, but making sure you understand what you are doing. Overall a really, really fun day which I'd recommend to anyone. We also learned a bit about the history, chemistry and physics of blacksmithing as well. Will definitely be back soon to do some more :-)"
