Mary Jowitt reviewed: Blind Embossing: lino printing without inks, in Derbyshire

"Very enjoyable workshop in a lovely setting. Liz ( the tutor) gave us a friendly welcome . The workshop included well structured, clear instructions regarding the processes of blind embossing. Liz allowed each persons to express their individuality and gave support as and when needed throughout . Great for those new to printmaking or the more experienced. Everyone went away with something they felt happy with having produced . Would recommend others should have a go !"

"Hi Mary, Thanks for taking the time to review your day. It was lovely to meet and work with you. As an experienced printmaker you quickly understood the process and could see the potential that blind embossing has for your work and how you may combine techniques, so I think it will give you a real creative boost. Hope to see you again at The Slipper Studio and happy embossing. Best wishes Liz Wellby"

Zoe Evans reviewed: Potter's wheel pottery - half day course Siramik

"Last week I took part in the half day workshop and absolutely loved it! As a beginner to ceramics and throwing (whose relatively creative and curious) Yokas insight and ability to explain both complexities of methods and the basic chemistry that goes behind glazing was incredible. The course was held at a steady pace with frequent check in to make sure everyone was accommodated. As someone who has recently been struggling with anxiety and frequent panic attacks this course was exactly what I needed to feel more grounded and relaxed during a very stressful and busy week; and for that I will be eternally grateful for all that I was taught, both behind the wheel and through our personal conversations. My only annoyance is that I don't live close enough to do this more frequently."
