Nancy Isabella McManus reviewed: Seaglass jewellery workshop at Sea & Solder, Dorset.

"Jules is one in a million! Having previously bought a one of a kind sterling silver Seaglass ring I was already in love with the work sea & solder was producing. Her customer service was 10/10, sufficiency, organisation, new equipment, extremely insightful and knowledge was flawless. I decided to book a session with my friend to do a stacking ring workshop for both our birthdays and it was the best present / activity we have both done in a long time. Our rings look beautiful, a well spent session we will definitely be booking on again and taking friends and family too! Thank you Jules so much"

Steve reviewed: Beginners' pastel painting workshop at fabulous Glasfryn Hall, North East Wales

"I wholeheartedly recommend this course. I had a really enjoyable day and learned so much in such a short space of time. Dave is an exceptionally talented artist and has the ability to share his methods in an easy and engaging way. The small group size meant there was plenty of opportunity for one-on-one tuition, questions and all materials were provided (and we were even given some to take away with us). The course was hosted in a stunning location with great views and plenty of art on the walls. An excellent lunch was provided and there was lots of tea and coffee on tap. 5 stars!"

Oriel Glasfryn Gallery Limited responded:

"Thank you Steve, for such a lovely review and I'm glad you enjoyed the day as much as I did. I'm delighted that you are thinking of furthering your art and that is definitely something you should do (IMHO). Dave"

Angela Simmons reviewed: 3 Day Resin Worktop Course (Custom Worktops)

"I have to say if you are thinking of doing a resin course, you won’t get much better than this. Norman was a great tutor, calm, relaxed and engaging. I wrote lots of notes but he gave me a step by step guide at the end of the course which was super useful. It was a one on one session which meant I got all the attention I needed to make sure I fully understood what I needed to do and I have come away super excited to get stuck in. I loved every minute of it and loved the pieces I created whilst I was there. Although Norman would think I’m barmy saying this, he has a wicked playlist going on in the background as well! Enjoy!"

Reson-8 responded:

"Angela, Thank you very much for your wonderful review, so glad that you enjoyed the course, and so glad that you enjoyed the tunes as I’ve now added to the list. Very Best Regards Norman"

Andy Lawrence reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"Had a lovely day making my very wonky looking hare (down to me, not Jo). Incredibly well organised. All materials were pre-measured and pre-cut which really helped the day run smoothly. I wasn't sure what to expect but I had a great day and it has left me feeling inspired to do more. Even though I am a "materials nerd" I discovered new products which I hope to use in my own work as a puppeteer. Jo was an extremely welcoming, kind and encouraging teacher and I would highly recommend anyone to go on this course. Added bonus were her two lovely dogs!"

Jo Garden Art responded:

"??? I loved your wonky crazy hare Andy! Thank you so much for your heart warming comments and hope you find the new material ideas useful for your fabulous puppets. Jo x"

Helen Sykes reviewed: Creating Art with Sea Glass and Sea Treasures

"I absolutely loved the one day Sea Glass Workshop with Seacycle Studio which I attended on 6 March. Lovely group of fellow "artists" and Shanine was lovely. Knowledgeable, welcoming and entertaining. And the lunch! Well, white bean soup was nutritious as well as delicious, and it was accompanied by salads, cheesy toasted breads, crudites and a multitude of home made, delicious cakes and brownies. Everyone left with a fabulous piece of artwork - even me, and I am renowned for not liking what I have made at the end of a craft workshop! All in all a very enjoyable day, and great value for money. Just wish I had been able to book one of the lodges - they looked really interesting . . . maybe next time :-)"

Tiny Homes Holidays responded:

"Thank you so much for your kind review Helen, you have made our day!"

Chris Sheppard reviewed: Beginners 1-day 1-2-1 woodturning workshop for 1 person

"I was given by my wife as a Christmas present, a one day course in wood turning from Blended Monkey. It is always difficult for her to know what to get me and, with my abilities to be practical she thought it would be a good idea. Well she wasn't wrong, I loved it! I had no preconceived ideas about how the process worked other than I knew roughly what was made on a lathe, this in mind I couldn't wait for the day to arrive. Once I had booked a day for the course, I was kept well informed about what would happen on the day and assured that COVID guidelines were in place, should I have concerns. I was warmly welcomed by hosts Louise and Simon on my arrival and taken to the wood turning room and offered a drink with biscuits, the first of many through the day. Simon then went onto talk about health and safety and the equipment we would be using and told me not to worry about remembering everything, as detailed notes would be emailed to me the next day, The notes incidentally were very in-depth and repeated in print, the whole day which is and will be a great help going forward. We started on the basics and by the end of the morning I had produced a honey drizzler which, I don't mind saying without being big headed, was amazing for a first attempt. Lunch followed and here, I have to say a big thank you to Louise who, after being made aware of my dietary preferences beforehand, this being plant based, served up a lovey platter of sweet and savory offerings. Onto the afternoon and Simon went on to explain the next project which was a bowl made out of cherry wood. Again The process was explained and by the end I had produced a lovely bowl which again, I am really proud of and looks beautiful. I am hopefully going to retire in a couple of years and am seriously thinking about investing in the equipment to give me a great and totally enjoyable pastime when the great day finally arrives. To finish, I would thoroughly recommend this course with Blended Monkey, you will not be disappointed. Many thanks to you both. :-)"

Blended Monkey - pottery - woodturning - green woodworking - pole lathe - throwing responded:

"Hi Chris, So glad you enjoyed the day and felt it was enjoyable and worthwhile - means a lot to us. Thank you for such a heartfelt review too! -- Simon & Louise"
