With Nicki’s encouragement and her brilliant teaching skills we both came away with a fabulous plant support and a new skill. It was great outside in the spring woodland setting too. Highly recommended. Thanks"

Susan Preece reviewed: Basket making for beginners using traditional willow basketry techniques

"My husband bought this experience for my birthday. I absolutely loved it, the other students were great company and the instructors were excellent, so knowledgeable and helpful. They were interested in every person on the course, provided an excellent lunch and even baked a cake for the event. I came away with a huge basket which I didn't expect(I thought we would do something small) its not perfect but has rustic charm. I would recommend this course to anyone. Thank you for a wonderful day which I will be reminded of everytime I see my lovely basket."

"I thoroughly enjoyed the candle making course last week and personal thanks to Tammy for being an excellent teacher - I asked a lot of questions! Whilst not a total beginner, I actually learned quite a bit about different types of candles. Would definitely recommend. Both Mark and Tammy are most knowledgeable and great hosts, very welcoming, with lots of chocolates and cake..... Now awaiting the "advanced" candle making course! With many thanks Diana"

Cynthia Leggat reviewed: Photography Days

"My husband and I both did a two course and probably got different things from it. Sue and Richard are very friendly and welcoming and tailored the course to our needs. We were not absolute beginners but learnt how to set a time delay before the shot was taken, something we hadn't done on our relatively new cameras - a Lumix Panasonic G9. I particularly enjoyed taking photos near Ullswater, including Wordsworth's daffodils. Andy enjoyed seeing the fallow deer at Dalemain. I was especially keen to learn how to take and merge photos for panoramas and HDR photos to get the best resulting photo from a series of shots. We also learnt useful tips and about the use of filters."

Andrew Leggat reviewed: Photography Days

"I did a two day course and got to know how to use my relatively new camera - a Lumix Panasonic G9 on the first day, besides having some experience with macro photography, which I hadn't really considered before. I also actually learnt how to use my tripod correctly ! I wasn't aware that I didn't use it to its full advantage ! I learnt how to take panoramas using my own photos of the Lake District and was shown how to stitch them together using Photoshop, which we pay for but have not been using. Sue and Richard are very easy to get on with and are very knowledgeable about the subject. I felt very comfortable learning from them both."

Jacqui Coverly reviewed: Stained Glass Copper Foil Taster Workshop

"We had a super time with Anthony at his Glassic Crafts workshop! Anthony was warm and welcoming, his expertise shone through as he patiently guided us through the steps towards making a stained glass leaf to take home with us as a memento of a lovely day. We have the basic skills now to build on and would love to visit his workshop for another stained glass craft session. It was well worth the two hour drive to get there, parking is free and there’s a café nearby."

Glassic Crafts responded:

"My Pleasure, I enjoyed teaching the course you were all very good well done"

Roger Coverly reviewed: Stained Glass Copper Foil Taster Workshop

"What a great time we had with Anthony! Having tried to cut glass previously- and failed, I approached this course with some trepidation. However, under Anthony’s tuition I was able to achieve this without mishap. We all made a decorative leaf, which being complete novices we were very proud of. Although not ready to do a stained glass window, it has inspired me to do more and I would certainly seek Anthony’s guidance and supervision. We intend to do another course with Anthony and thank him very much for his tuition and very relaxed company."

Glassic Crafts responded:

"Thank you for your comments it was my pleasure and well done"
