B mcallister reviewed: Amazing Mosaics Workshop

"Badly organised, started half an hour late due to lack of preparation and lady running course left the room for at least 20 minutes as she supposedly left something in the car. So the 2 hour session became a waste of time."

Amazing Mosaics responded:

"I’m very sorry your work dropped and broke at the end of this class but I do feel your comment and review is unfair as the class did start on time, and I had done the usual high level of preparation and planning to ensure everyone completed project on time. I did have to retrieve some handouts for the class from my car, but this was done whilst everyone was busy and up and running. I’m sorry you feel this way as I try very hard to offer good value for money and lots of support and advice to every learner in my class."

Nigel reviewed: Make a shave horse at Sallerton Wood

"I am so pleased, I traveled from East Sussex, to make my shave horse. Sallerton wood is a tranquil place to do green woodworking. Andy is a great teacher, very patient with total newbie’s. Then you get spoilt with tea and coffee and cake, and a lovely lunch, all served in a wonderful kitchen shelter with clay rocket stoves and oven’s ( Andy please run a course/ write a book on how to build one)"

Sallerton Wood responded:

"Thanks, Nigel for your enthusiastic review. We're very pleased that you enjoyed the teaching on the course, and the tranquillity of Sallerton Wood. Thanks also for your positive comments about the teas and lunches, and indeed your additional suggestion about a course or book about clay ovens and rocket stoves! We hope that you get many days and months of pleasure using your shave horse. "

Sarah Gibbs reviewed: Introduction to Beaded Jewellery - West Sussex

"I thoroughly enjoyed my 2.5 hours with Wendy yesterday for the Beaded Jewellery course. I made a bracelet and a pair of earrings, and I have bought some tools from Wendy so that I can continue at home with threading and making some jewellery from beads that I have already collected. It is quite an intricate skill to learn and Wendy guided me through it step by step. It was a throughly relaxing and enjoyable afternoon."

Yiannis reviewed: Forge a Knife- Blacksmithing and Knifemaking Experience Day

"I attended the Forge a Knife- Blacksmithing and Knifemaking Experience Day earlier this year and can honestly say it was one of the best organised experiences I have been on! You know how you turn up to some other experiences (like a driving one) and it's a bit naff and disappointing? This was not like that at all! You get stuck in within minutes! Jon is friendly and informative. He guides you when necessary but also leaves you to your own devices so you don't feel like you are being micromanaged. You can forge pretty much whatever knife you want, from a classic kitchen knife to your own custom design (I took a printout with me). There was a huge selection of woods to choose from for the knife handle too. Overall, a fantastic experience and a great way to spend the day! Highly recommended."
