"I thoroughly enjoyed the stonecutting experience. There were 5 of us on the course. After an introduction to himself, the site, tools and techniques, Sebastian helped us select material for our ideas. (There are many example pieces on site to take inspiration from if necessary). Sebastian was attentive to our needs and circulated to encourage us in our progress and give technical advice. I really enjoyed chipping away at the stone and came away with a carving I am pleased with."

"I thoroughly loved learning how to do mosaic yesterday with Wendy. she is a great tutor, very knowledgeable in many craft areas and very patient...especially as I was learning a new skill. I so enjoyed the experience and am aiming to make more mosaics at home. I would definitely recommend attending one of Wendy's classes, they are fun and relaxing. A great day out. I shall be heading back to her lovely studio to learn felting next time. "

"Booked two of these courses - one for a friend’s birthday and the other for my sister. They both had a brilliant time and proudly showed me the work they had managed to create. Both are hooked on free-motion embroidery now, so much so that I feel I’ve missed out and will now be booking my own session! They also said Caroline was very clear in her teaching and patient with their questions. A brilliant gift idea. Highly recommend."

"The two day course was a brilliant learning experience and so much fun. Bex is a great teacher and was really friendly and helpful. I made a backpack so gorgeous I can’t believe it, having never worked with leather before. I have already booked onto another course and am hoping to make a matching weekend bag. I would encourage anyone who likes the sound of it to book on, the machines are easy to use and Bex is right there to lend a hand if you get stuck. You’ll be amazed at what you can produce!"

He was patient with all my questions and great at giving me ways to fix my mistakes! I am very proud of the support-crook-hook-garden stake thing I made today to hold up a garden suncatcher. If you are interested in practical things, I can 100% recommend spending a day at Chris’s forge. I shall be adding it to my birthday list in the hope that I can go again before too long!"
