Becky reviewed: Wet felt bag course in New Romney, Kent

"The wet-felted bag workshop exceeded all my expectations! The technique of shaping the bag on an inflated ball was both innovative and fun, and the abundance of materials meant everyone could experiment and make something truly unique. Watching the bags take shape was so satisfying, and the final results were incredible, professional-looking and entirely handmade! The organizers did a brilliant job catering to everyone’s dietary needs for lunch, which was delicious, and the afternoon cream tea was a perfect end to the day. I left with a gorgeous bag, wonderful memories, and a handful of new friends. I’d highly recommend this workshop to anyone, whether you’re experienced in crafting or a total beginner!"

Kelly reviewed: Wet felt bag course in New Romney, Kent

"This workshop was such a treat! The wet-felting process was easier to grasp than I expected, thanks to the patient and friendly instructors. Using an inflated ball to shape the bag was a unique approach, and the endless options of yarns and felt made designing my bag a joy. Each bag turned out completely different, reflecting our individual styles, which made the final showcase really special. Lunch was tasty and thoughtfully prepared, and the afternoon cream tea was the cherry on top of an already wonderful day. I came away with a bag I adore and a renewed sense of creativity. A thoroughly enjoyable experience!"

D reviewed: Sculpt animals in New Romney, Kent

"What an extraordinary way to spend a day! This sculpture workshop was a fantastic combination of creativity and mindfulness. Crafting the wire armature for the hare was a bit challenging at first, but the instructors provided plenty of guidance, and before long, my hare started to take shape. The freedom to design the sculpture’s mood made the experience deeply personal and truly enjoyable, no two hares were alike! The catering was exceptional. The ploughman’s lunch was fresh and generous, and the cream tea with its perfectly baked scones was a treat. By the end of the day, I not only walked away with a unique artwork but also a feeling of pride and relaxation. I’d absolutely do it again."

"I had the most delightful day at the moon-gazing hare sculpture workshop! From start to finish, it was an engaging and fulfilling experience. The process of forming the wire armature was surprisingly satisfying, and the instructors were so knowledgeable and encouraging, helping everyone bring their unique vision to life. The idea of reflecting the hare’s mood through design added a beautiful personal touch, each sculpture was entirely unique and meaningful. The lunch and cream tea were divine! The ploughman’s was hearty and fresh, and the cream tea was the perfect indulgence to end the day. I left with not only a sculpture I’m proud of but also a sense of accomplishment and joy. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a creative and relaxing day out."

"I enrolled on this course with some limited woodworking experience, but absolutely zero experience of wood lathe turning. On arrival, Jake immediately put me at ease and that relaxed environment continued throughout the day. Not only is Jake highly experienced, but has wonderfully calm persona, ideally suited to instructing people in a great skill, whilst operating potentially dangerous machinery and tools. I would highly recommend Jake's training courses."

Denise reviewed: 2 Day Deep Dive 1-on-1 Beginners Course in Leathercraft

"Joseph is one of the most knowledgeable, kind, and patient teachers that I ever met. He is humble and happy to share the wealth of knowledge he accumulated over the years without hesitation if you allow him. I have a Masters Degree in a very important (and expensive) Italian Fashion School based in London. The majority of the tutors just lack of this level of skills. His attention to detail is just amazing. He’ll push you towards your limits if he thinks you’re capable of. He has great communication ability and can adapt the course more or less for your needs if you ask. I guarantee you’ll feel capable of doing a lot in leathercrafting after completing your course with him. I couldn’t recommend more!"
