Alan. and Matthew. reviewed: Day classes in traditional blacksmithing ... make an item to take away

"My son and I spent the day with Rudi on this course. It was a brilliant day if a little cold. Rudi is a great teacher and everything was hands on from the get go. Relaxed teaching, focusing on learning by doing rather than theory work. I specifically asked If we could learn to make arrow heads and medieval nails and Rudi didn't disappoint . By the end of the day, we had made Bodkin Arrow heads, nails and a pair of Blacksmithing tongs that we can use at home when I build my own forge. I thoroughly recommend this course if you are interested in learning some blacksmithing skills, but have no experience like us. "

Lord Craig Sigley reviewed: Woodworking power tool workshop

"Tyler provided an outstanding course on set-up, use and maintenance of power tools. Health and safety was at the forefront of everything we did in a jam-packed 6 hours. But Tyler went the extra mile, tailoring the event to specifics needed by the students and offering complimentary aftercare with offers of advice on tools, projects and even sourcing timber. Perfect timing for me as I set-up my own workshop and I will definitely be visiting Tyler again for more instruction and advice. Cannot recommend him highly enough. "

TM Woodcrafts responded:

"Thank you for such a positive review Craig, I am very happy that you enjoyed your day and feel like you have taken a lot from the experience! Hopefully see you in the future!"

Graham and Carrie-Anne reviewed: Pottery throwing sessions on the potter's wheel in Norfolk

"Booked the course for myself and my wife. What a very pleasant way to spend a special day, very relaxed, informative course and delivered professionally. Lots of time on the 2 wheels getting personal hands on training. We’d never done this before and yet by the end we were turning out respectable bowls and vases. Pat was brilliant never took over let you make mistakes and learn how to correct yourself, only when asked she would step in and with ease rescue your work. Well worth the money."

Pat Southwood responded:

"Thank you for you kind review Graham and Carrie -Anne, it was a pleasure welcoming you both to Cossey's Yard on such a blustery day. You both worked really well and produced some great pots and I am so glad that you both enjoyed yourselves. "

"I cannot recommend this course highly enough. It doesn't matter if you are an experienced upcycler or an complete novice (like me!), there is something for everyone. Nicky is an amazing teacher and is able to share her years of experience in an accessible way. All the materials are provided, as are workshop notes after the course. Aside from learning loads, it was a really fun day, full of laughter. Nicky creates a relaxed and friendly environment and makes sure everyone feels welcome. I've already booked my next workshop with her."

Claire M reviewed: Mig Welding For Beginners Introductory Day Course.

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What an absolute pleasure this course is . As an absolute beginner Tony was an excellent tutor! Patient and calm. He gives you time to realise any mistakes before stepping in. He explains everything so well, it's makes every step almost simple. He gives just the right amount of confidence, but not so much that you start to run before you can walk. Felt like I did LOADS of welding and practice in the time I was there. The difference in my welds from start to finish is massive! A bit more practice and I'll be starting my first project! Thanks, Tony! I thoroughly enjoyed myself."

Newport Wrought Ironwork responded:

"Thank you Claire for your very kind review it is greatly appreciated. Keep practicing and if you require any help or advice please feel free to contact me. Regards Tony"

Sharon reviewed: Learn To Crochet with Lamb In The Loft

"Georgie was very welcoming, however myself, my mum & my sister didn’t feel like we were taught all of the content, we only went through a couple of different crochet stitches, then the last part of the course content was rushed and we didn’t learn any of those stitches as Georgie went far too fast for us to retain the information. The course could be better."

Lamb In The Loft responded:

"Hi Sharon, I'm so sorry you did not feel that you got the full experience of learning to crochet with me, and I'd like to rectify this if I can. I haven't heard from you at all since the session and I did offer you to contact me with any issues, as it is a lot of information to take in over just a 2 hour session. I am free for either a refresh session for an hour if you'd like, either in person or on Zoom/ Teams. The booklet provided the information you learnt in the session (crochet theory, the stitches etc.), and further learning for you to follow (ie. the granny square pattern), but only once you were confident with the basics. As I said, this would not have been fully covered in the Learn To Crochet session as you were still learning. Thank you for your honest feedback as it all helps towards me tailoring these sessions so that they can suit all. If you could email me at lambintheloft@gmail.com we can sort this so that everyone is happy. Thank you, Georgie."

Patricia reviewed: Full day leather craft workshop

"What a brilliant course. I learned so much. Rosanna is a really chilled tutor and no question was too silly. There was huge selection of leather to choose from and I made 4 items during the day. I admit I was concerned about the hand stitching element but that was unfounded as we were shown the correct way to prepare the leather before sewing and as it turned out I found the process quite meditative. I can definitely recommend this course."

Rosanna Clare responded:

"Thank you Trish! So glad you enjoyed it. Hope to see you again soon x"
