Nikki Denning reviewed: Beeswax Wraps - Craft Party - Group bookings only

"We had such an enjoyable morning with Claire & Janet. We were greeted with a warm welcome and the craft room was beautiful. It was very relaxed, we had much laughter and chatter and music played whilst we made our wonderful aromatic bees wax wraps. During our tea break we were treated to delicious cakes and they even let us take home the ones we couldn't eat during the session. It was thoroughly enjoyable and we came away with some very useful wraps. They even allowed us to bring Pompom the Pomeranian who sat very quietly in the craft room. We would highly recommend this workshop, nice and chilled and a real treat! "

David Linnell reviewed: Guitar Strumstick Dulcimer 3 strings instrument

"What an amazing experience! Did this course with very limited woodworking experience - Ted was lovely, chatty, helpful and engaging as he talked us through how to create a dulcimer. I'm genuinely blown away that we could achieve so much in the day! We got to use a variety of techniques - and also understood WHY we were using them, how to adapt along the way, when to be precise and how to build on the skills. Really pleased and would recommend the course to anyone!"

Teds Woodworking/ instrument making Courses responded:

"Thanks for the kind words David it was a pleasure to work with you both last Saturday. I hope you and your mum get many happy hours strumming together. It was a lot of fun and I hope you use the instrument in your band sometime. Kind regards Ted "

Inga reviewed: Slate mosaic workshop at Jo Garden Art

"I can certainly confirm that Jo enables "people of any skill to achieve something they did not expect". The slate workshop was the second in-person workshop I've done with Jo in her gorgeous garden studio. It was a bit scary making something abstract and not having specific steps to follow, but there is plenty of time, encouragement and tea, and a wide range of slate, stones, glass, mosaic pieces and more. From an initial mild panic about my efforts going nowhere, two great pieces of slate art emerged. In fact every artwork created in that workshop was lovely and would look good on a wall. Amazing! The other workshop I have done with Jo was making an outdoor hare sculpture, which turned out to be an impressive focal point for the garden. Step by step Jo shows and then coaches you through each stage. Each workshop with Jo has been a fabulous time away in a relaxed setting, with wonderful hospitality and I have come away with creations that I certainly didn't expect to be as good as they are. Highly recommended, even for those who don't think they are very artistic."

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you so much for this wonderful review Inga! It was lovely having you and your friends back in the studio once again. As you mention, everyone's work was gorgeous. Hope to see you again soon, Jo xx"

Sue Osbon reviewed: Rag Rug Workshop - Full Day - York

"A really enjoyable course; well-timed, friendly, full of information and advice. Plenty of material to work with on the day. Some items to take away were included in the course fee and there was plenty more to buy at reasonable prices (but no pressure to buy). The course tutors (Lorraine and Casey) were knowledgeable and kept us all supplied with tea, coffee and biscuits. Whether attending on your own or with some friends, I would recommend it. "

Ragged Life responded:

"We're so glad you enjoyed the class Sue, you were a pleasure to teach :-) Thank you for the lovely review, we do appreciate you taking the time."

Lucy Brammer reviewed: Beginners Watercolours & Cream Tea Experience (minimum booking is for 2 people)

"My partner booked an art session with a cream tea for myself and our daughter. Amina contacted us beforehand to ask what kind of art piece we wanted to create. When we arrived Amina was lovely and welcoming. The art studio is a fantastic space in a quiet courtyard. We both really enjoyed the day; Amina gave us just the right amount of help and support which still allowed us free expression. We are both very happy with the pictures that we created and I’m sure we will be booking some more sessions soon. "

A.S.K Art & Pottery Gallery & Studio responded:

Mollie reviewed: Pottery throwing sessions on the potter's wheel in Norfolk

"I had a 2 hour throwing lesson with Pat this weekend. I had such a wonderful time - I feel like I made really good progress (without having ever done throwing before!) and the 2 hours is plenty of time to practise. I made 6 items in this time. Pat is a kind and easy to talk to teacher who lets you do as much or as little as you'd like. I'd really recommend Pat and the sessions she offers. I hope to be back some time!"
