Celia Busby reviewed: Glass Fusion - Garden Piece

"This was the second glass fusion course that I've done with Sally and I can't recommend her courses highly enough. She gives simple, clear instructions and demonstrates the techniques necessary then allows you to create something yourself which is unique and beautiful. She is endlessly patient and encouraging, the perfect combination in a tutor! I will certainly be looking forward to joining many more of her classes in the future. "

Stanwick Lakes Art and Craft Courses responded:

"Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. We are very pleased that you enjoyed the course and shall pass your feedback onto Sally. Best wishes, The Stanwick Lakes team."

Emily reviewed: Block printing on Fabric

"Alison was amazing, so accommodating. We had a hen party of 8 with her and as the hen's bridesmaid I was in charge of organising. We met a few weeks before to discuss and plan for the day. Alison allowed me to decorate the space however I wanted. It was not an easy task with a larger group but Alison made sure each person was given equal amount of attention. I would highly recommend her course whether that be hen or no hen. I would also highly recommend the cafe down at the fishery who do amazing grazing boards! You will need to pre-book though. The setting is beautiful with lots of greenery, cows etc. I'd make sure to follow the sat nav carefully as it really is out in the sticks but once you're there you'll never want to leave!"

Blooming Designs - Art in the Barn responded:

"Hi Emily , Thank you for your review, I am so pleased you all had such a great day and it was lovely to meet you all and be involved in making Freya’s hen weekend so special . Block printing is a great choice for your celebration , suitable for all ages and the results were amazing ! Wishing you all the best for August with the big day . Best wishes Alison "

"Booked the glass fusion course for me and my friend and I can not recommend this course enough. Mel is AMAZING!!! Me and my friend were complete beginners to glass so didn’t know what to expect really. Mel was so patient and explained everything and you could ask her anything. I also couldn’t believe how many items we got to make, so fantastic value for money (tea and cake as well 😍) Already looking at other courses to take part in!! Thank you so much! "

Maidy reviewed: Sketchbooking for artists, journals, keep sake books, coursework - 2 Day - One to One

"I went on this course with my sister, who was visiting from Australia, for 2 days. Rachel welcomed us into the studio on the first day, with a cup of tea and a description of what we might like to do. There were samples of sketchbooks on the table, and the studio was incredibly well stocked. We chose to make our own individual sketchbooks on the first day, and then on the second day we asked for some pointers in sketching bodies and people. It was all very individualised, as only the 2 of us were there. Rachel was incredibly generous, both with materials and her time and knowledge. She kept us stocked up on tea and coffee throughout the day. Although the course was due to end at 3.30, she gave us the key to the studio to allow us to stay there when she left, and go back if we wanted after our dinner. We were both extremely proud of the sketchbooks we made as well as the sketchbooks she gave us to practise with. It was a really enjoyable, and intensive two days. If I get the chance I will definitely be going back. "

Gifted Crafts Company responded:

"Thank you so much Maidy. You are too kind. It was an absolute joy to work with you both this week. I absolutely the love the amazing journals / books that you both made and was so impressed with the drawing progress and quality of your sketches. Huge well done and thank you. I would be delighted to see you again. All the very best. Rach "

I learned a great deal during a day making a beautiful beech bowl and will now spend some time practising at my home workshop some of the many technique "tweaks" that Les gave me to think about. Whether you're a beginner or of a reasonable skill, the day will be very rewarding. "

Pren responded:

"Thank you for that Tony. I'm really pleased that you will be able to use the new skills that you have learned to increase the range of things that you are currently making."

"Had a wonderful morning creating something special under expert tuition. Our tutor Loucinda was such a calming influence - I was especially nervous about using the blow torch however she put me immediately at ease. The location was superb! Catherine reviewed: Tiffany stained glass wild flowers workshop

"I went on this course, which was a birthday present for one of my daughters. She, being artistic, made some fabulous flowers. Me, being totally unartistic, managed to make some flowers which I have not thrown away! This is a miracle, as normally anything like this would be straight in the bin. But with Kate's help I actually managed to produce something nice. How she did it, I do not know, but it shows how even the most hopeless person can have a great time, have lots of fun, thoroughly enjoy themselves and come away with something worthwhile. Thanks a bundle Kate."

Martin McAssey Glass responded:

"We're really please you had a good day, thank you for the review."
