The technique was explained and demonstrated really well, and plenty of time allowed for experimentation and trialling prior to a contemplation of design ideas for a piece to take away. Leanne reviewed: Making a Silver Ring (Whitley Chapel3)

"Highly recommend - wonderful hosts and teachers, everything provided (and more!) and Mum and I learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed it. Mum is visiting from Australia so don't often get time together so wanted to do things this trip that would create lasting memories, and we're both arty people so this was perfect. Lovely pace and environment to learn in, wasn't rushed, everyone was so helpful and interested in seeing how each others rings turned out and we came away with two rings each that we both love and will cherish as a reminder of our time together. Thank you so much to Barbara & Eddie for a wonderful evening! "

Simply Smallholding responded:

"We were so delighted to be able to be part of your night to make treasured mementos. So lovely to see how much you enjoyed being together. Thank you so much for the review - we do try to make sure everyone enjoys themselves and gets enough attention. "

"This is a great course for anyone wanting to take their first step in traditional furniture making . The course focuses on settling up, sharpening and correct use of a hand plane to produce a perfectly flat and square piece of hardwood timber. The end product is a beautiful chopping board with bevelled edge. I found this course very enjoyable and learned a lot from Aidan who is an excellent and patient teacher. elizabeth reviewed: Painting classes and workshops with Kate Freeman

"My husband and I spent a brilliant morning at Kate's workshop and felt we learned so much in only three hours! We are not artists but felt very inspired to continue to explore painting. Kate was friendly and helpful with plenty of tea and advice on offer! We started in her colourful studio trying out different mediums and learning about colour and ways of creating paintings with different tools. I had never painted with a feather before! Then we moved out to her delightful garden where we wandered about choosing beautiful flowers to draw and paint. We came away with some great ideas and some lovely paintings which we were proud to show to our children! We would highly recommend Kate and her classes!!"

Coach House Studio responded:

"Thank you Elizabeth - it was lovely to meet you both, and I'm so glad you enjoyed your morning session here at The Coach House. You produced an amazing amount of work in three hours! Hope you've had time to carry on with your painting. See you again soon. "

"I had a great time on this 2 day course. Jarrad was our tutor; he was so passionate and knowledgeable. He got the balance just right between passing on his incredible knowledge and allowing us to find our own way with the project. He was always on hand to answer questions or help when needed and he kept it fun and interesting. I shared the course with four others from all different walks of life and it was great to get to know these guys too. I learnt so much and feel I have developed my skills a great deal.
