"Geoff was lovely, really supportive and enthusiastic. We did 2 hours as complete beginners and the time flew by. We both ended up with a bowl and a vase - of sorts - even tho our second attempts were beyond redemption so had to be aborted. Will def be going back to glaze the pots we made. and maybe even have another go - well worth it - brilliant afternoon :-) Thanx Geoff."

"My wife and I booked onto a 1 hour pottery throwing experience for our 39th wedding Anniversary, and Geoff did not disappoint us. He was faultless throughout the class from start to finish, with excellent tuition on how to throw the clay onto the wheel and how to proceed to make a clay pot. 10 out of 10. Very enjoyable."

"I'd had a tricky week so not at all in the right frame of mind when I arrived but the day was a joy and helped me step out of that energy. Great guidance from Ellie, detailed notes to take away and a great selection of sustainable yarns to work with. Now have a grasp of the basics and how to get going on the loom and have spent time just playing. Ellie is lovely and good at keeping everyone going at their own pace and how they learn. "I did a morning enamelling course on 12th July. Really enjoyed the session. I was a complete beginner but Katie's a good teacher, had very clear instructions & was very helpful. There were just 3 of us, so plenty of individual attention. I came away with 3 items I had made and a good feeling of achievement."

"Wow what a wonderful Friday filled with mindfulness and silk painting! Jane was warm and engaging and put me at ease as soon as I arrived. I had once tried silk painting more than 30 years ago so hadn't a clue, but I left with two lovely pieces to be proud of and not only know how to give it a go myself at home, but also the absolute inspiration to improve and achieve even more! Jane it was such a fabulous day and I can't wait to try batik with you soon. I think you are an inspiring person to be around even without the crafting!"

Mark’s tuition is friendly, but professional, by demonstrating and talking about the various aspects of the tools and techniques is a very informative way of presenting the course. I was so impressed, I will probably do another."

"What a fabulous creative day. I've just got home from a superb day course an "Introduction to Frame Weaving" at Fisherton Mill Salisbury run by Ellie of Elka sustainable textiles. Ellie was a fantastic teacher, really thorough with her instructions and explanations. Very patient and happy to answer questions and give individual attention when required. The course materials were amazing, a huge choice of sustainable yarns and fibres to choose from. Her knowledge of the sustainable & renewable materials and methods of production was immense and her enthusiasm and love of this subject shone through and was inspirational. I had a really enjoyable day, have created an awesome (if I may say so myself!) wall hanging that I'm thrilled with. I would definitely recommend Ellie's courses. "

"We did the 2 in 1 craft day, pottery and wood turning. Never touched a lathe or a potters wheel before and we came out with some high quality stuff. It was a fantastic day. The attention and instruction we got from Louise and Simon was awesome, they really are passionate about what they do. Also, if you like a chat you won't be disappointed, you can't shut them up (which is a good thing). They were always guiding and positive but left you to your own creative talents. The workshops are a lovely environment to learn and be in. The knowledge they leak out to you is so absorbing you can't help but be amazed. I'm sat at home writing this and still recalling some wonderful information that you get from this very friendly couple. You will get some lovely lunch in their kitchen and the encouragement about life skills and well being are always on their mind. Everybody who meets Louise & Simon will think I have the best friends in the world. I encourage you all to book a craft class or two and defo stay at the Crafters Retreat Lodge. The Lodge is a dream.
