Richard reviewed: Pen making and wood turning introduction

"I would highly recommend Philip. He is a lovely person, very knowledgable and explains everything in detail. He makes the day very interesting and the pen you make is beautiful. Cannot praise this course enough, thank you for a fantastic day "

World of Woodcraft responded:

"It was brilliant having you in the workshop, You did a great job making multiple items including 2x keyrings a pen, and a very ambitious dip pen wand which included incredibly tight tolerances. I am absolutely sure you will impress people with what you made today including Turners who have tears of experience. You mentioned a strong desire to continue your experience, I put together an information packet for people starting off which might help. https://www.instructables.com/Getting-Started-With-Wood-Turning-tools-Techniques/ I look forward to seeing what you come up with in the future and seeing your name as an author in woodworking magazines in the future. Anita Justice reviewed: Glass fusing workshop - 1 day

"We had fantastic full day with Jill. Plenty of time for tuition and making a number of pieces. It's best to go with some idea of what you'd like to make and to contact Jill beforehand so she can set up accordingly. Though if you have no idea that works too, it just means you'll spend a bit less time making. "

Fired Glass responded:

"Thanks Anita, pleased to hear you and Kim enjoyed your time with us. First time sessions are always tricky as most people don't know what to make or what is possible. If you decide to return then it is so much easier second time around. Jill has started to fire your pieces already, some went in the kiln today! Very exciting. Kind regards John and Jill "

Karen reviewed: Introduction to Frame Loom Weaving, Fisherton Mill, Salisbury, Wiltshire

"I loved the day I spent with Ellie learning how to set up the loom and to weave. I've never tried this before and was a complete beginner. Ellie is a brilliant teacher. She really takes the time to explain and appreciates that people learn at different speeds! She is very kind and patient :) I came home with a beautiful (even if I say so myself ;) )wall hanging...as did the other ladies on the day long course. The yarns we had available to weave with were beautiful and varied. The course notes given out were very understandable. It really was a great day and I would 100% recommend and attend another. "

Tricia reviewed: An Introduction to Weaving with a Table Loom, Oxford

"l thoroughly enjoyed my day in this light and bright studio. l found the course was the right balance of instruction, illustrated with the tutor's own work, combined with working on a shaft loom to make my own sample weaving piece. This introduction to weaving matched with my wish , as a beginner, to explore weaving design and work on a shaft loom. l would recommend this course as the tuition is comprehensive at this level, paced well and delivered by an attentive supportive tutor . Thank you very much for your help, my interest in weaving continues to increase . "

Jen Jepson reviewed: Awaken Creativity - discovering or recovering your artist self. Art in Suffolk

"I thoroughly enjoyed Jane’s creative collage workshop. I’d let my creative activities slip and was a little anxious about getting back into the swing of things, but I needn’t have worried! Right from the start, Jane’s friendly approach created a can-do attitude, encouraging us to enjoy the playful process, rather than concern for any outcome. It was great fun collaging in the relaxed atmosphere of Jane’s beautiful home, with plenty of art supplies and paper materials on hand. And enjoying a delicious cream tea in her summer garden was simply the ‘icing on the cake.’ Highly recommended! "

Jane Beaumont Art responded:

"Thanks so much Jen. It was great to watch you making the most of every activity and to witness your exciting work appear. All the best with your art journey. "
