Cathryn Laxton reviewed: Bring Your Own Upholstery Project - 1 day workshop - Week Days

"I’ve had a really super day learning new skills at Mode upholstery 1day course. I took along a small chair and had fun stripping it right back to the frame discovering along the way the layers of different covers and materials that made up the history of the chair. Sarah is an extremely good teacher, passing on her knowledge and skill in an easy, relaxed way. Altogether a really super fun day that I would thoroughly recommend. "

Rachael Littler reviewed: Traditional Decoupage Workshop

"The course was very informative. Sarah was a great instructor. She explained things really well and made the atmosphere friendly and inviting. My only criticism is there was a mix up with start times. Myself and another lady turned up for a 10am start and another lady said she had down 10.30am. But apart from that I will definitely be going back to do more courses."

From Loft to Loved Workshops CIC responded:

"Thank you for your review Rachael. Apologies again for the mixup with timings, we can't wait to have you back on another workshop. Any questions or for more information, please do not hesitate to give us a call or pop back in. Sarah and Kim "

Sue Aspinall reviewed: DIY Wood Workshop Leeds

"This was an excellent day. The instructor was really down to earth, friendly, helpful and informative. I can't believe the quality of the hexigon I managed to produce under her guidance. I also learnt some general points about using tools in a way that will be really helpful in the future. It was also great that we had the opportunity to adapt from the basic design and make it into what we wanted it to be. The lunch was also outstanding!!"

Simon Platts reviewed: Wood turning - One day course

"Well worth the money! Originally I was going to buy a lathe and plod away myself in a self-taught fashion from day 1. I'm glad I didn't as I now realise I could've wasted a whole load of time and money. Great practical training but also great advice on equipment, tools etc"

Anna L Nichols Furniture responded:

"Great and good luck with your little product you're making"

Hannah reviewed: Copper wire jewellery Workshop

"Kami was so approachable and clear in her teaching methods. She showed me so many different techniques and gave lots of tips to be able to have a go myself at home. The whole process was really therapeutic and I thoroughly enjoyed making my two pieces. Thanks so much. "

Mya Designs responded:

"Thanks so much for a lovely review, Hannah, I'm so glad you enjoyed your anniversary gift from your husband. The little wire ring you made had the perfect tension to get the swirl sitting nicely showing you have a natural flare for wirework. You've explored so many techniques and textures for your main project as well as polishing and I love how you've incorporated family initials into the ring. I hope you get to try lots of different crafts as there's so many to enjoy when you need some 'me' time. Take care :)"

Andy reviewed: Woodturning half day taster

"Wood turning with Paul was a delightful experience. He strikes a great balance between stepping in to make sure that you’re safe and know what you’re doing and stepping back to let you get on with it when he sees you’re on the right track. This really helps you build confidence as you work through the different tasks and cuts he teaches. In the half day session we took a square practice block, turned it into a cylinder, and learned how to make concave and convex cuts. We then repeated the process with another block also drilling the middle out to create a vase. Walking away with a lovely little vase was the perfect end to a great session. I would recommend this experience for anyone young or old who wants to start a new hobby, or is just curious about how ornate furniture was made."

Paul Hannaby Creative Woodturning responded:

"Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed the experience."
