Tracey-Anna Smith reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"My lovely friend Hilary bought me a hare making day for my 60th birthday ( very generous) what an amazing present it proved to be. I can honestly say I can't remember a more enjoyable day. Jo was brilliant at teaching us at a pace and level that never felt daunting. Great size class and classroom. I never in a million years would have thought that I could make something so beautiful! Thanks to Jo and her lovely husband for a wonderful day. ( And to Hilary for her gift) I would very much recommend it."

"What a special day spent in the woodland experiencing the expert craftsmanship alongside the maestro Max Schonyers. I left pretty chuffed with my newly acquired skills and carrying my hand crafted wooden spoon as promised and an unexpected gift of walnut oil. Highly recommended… especially that the fee for the days outing goes to important and good causes. "

Nigel jackson reviewed: Beginners spoon carving taster session

" The spoon carving course was fantastic and very informative on all aspects of the subject. Steve was very patient and explained his art very eloquently, often digressing onto other subjects to emphasise a point (blade sharpening, grit sizes, stropping, makes of tools etc) he even sent us links to all the items mentioned in our conversations. Price is also very reasonable. Steve is a true Gentleman and a fantastic teacher. "

Ed Rogers reviewed: Whittling Workshop

"Really can’t recommend this course enough. Matt and Emma were wonderful hosts and teachers. Their woodland is so peaceful and away from traffic and noise. First time I’ve really relaxed in quite a while. The 2 and a half hours flew by and I came away with a mushroom that I was proud of. Both Matt and Emma gave everyone support and I know everyone was raving about it when we were walking back to the cars. I’ve no doubts I will be back soon for more courses"

Jake Matthias reviewed: Cornish Blacksmithing Experience

"An amazing course for anyone looking to learn the basics of blacksmithing whilst being able to walk away with a finished product the same day. Jeremy was a great tutor who expertly walked me through each step whilst explaining the history behind the tools and profession. The forge itself was incredible and in such a lovely part of Cornwall. I quickly felt confident handling the metal and tools during the practice session before we moved onto the real piece. It was great being able to use both traditional and modern tools as well as understanding more about the heat treatment process. Would highly recommend this course!"
