Ruth reviewed: Knitting workshops in Leeds City Centre

"I had a lovely time from start to finish, Ann is really kind and very knowledgeable. This workshop was just what I needed, 1-2-1 tuition was really useful and much less daunting than a group. It meant I could ask any question and when I got stuck Ann was right there. I'm really grateful for Ann's time and happy to support a charity to. Also the setting of the cafe was excellent, who doesn't want coffee and cake while they learn a new skill! "

Leeds Central Faith and Light responded:

"Thank you for this lovely review. I hope you are enjoying your new found skill. You were very quick to pick up what you were being taught and I think we spent as much time chatting as we did knitting. I am pleased you liked the setting. Kind regards Ann"

Alex Smith reviewed: Two day leather bag making course

"I did the 2 day bag-making workshop with Sarah. It was a wonderful course where I made the most beautiful bag that I'm so proud of. I was able to choose the design and then make some modifications so it was completely bespoke. I am completely hooked on leather craft now and just want to learn more so I can create more beautiful things for myself and gifts for friends and family. Sarah is a great instructor, she's calm, patient and explains things clearly. The days were full and well structured with a lovely lunch provided on both days. We were busy from 9.30am to 5pm both days which goes to show how much work is involved and how much Sarah has managed to pack into the sessions. I have no hesitation in recommending Sarah's courses to anyone who wants to try working with leather. I had such an enjoyable time."

"My mum and I attended Chrissy’s mosaic garden ornament workshop last weekend. We had a lovely time. Chrissy is so talented and her friendly and patient teaching method during the afternoon allowed us to create lovely individual designs that will look beautiful in our gardens for years to come. I would highly recommend one of Chrissy’s workshops if you are looking for a relaxing afternoon of mindfulness and to be able to totally switch off from the pressures of everyday life whilst immersing yourself in art for a few hours. Thank you so much Chrissy. "

Kirsty Lockwood reviewed: 1-2-1 Practical Leather Tuition & Consultancy with Georgie Tym

"I did a 2 day 1-1 tuition with Georgie Jan 24. She was really helpful in getting me prepared for the course, helping with leather selection and ideas, I arrived ready to go and excited. I learnt so much in the 2 days and I feel that there is so much more to learn from Georgie. We achieved a huge amount thanks to her excellent planning and organisation and I am thrilled with the end product bag I made. It really didn't feel like a CPD course but like a treat! "

Hands of Tym responded:

"Thank you Kirsty! It was an absolute delight to have to visit the workshop and your bag was just lovely! Hope to see you again, Georgie"

"Great course covering the basic techniques needed to make yourself a beautiful stool. The tutors are very experienced woodworkers full of useful tips and tricks to help make your stool look beautiful even if it’s your first venture into woodworking! If, for some reason, you make a mistake, there’s no need to despair, as they are very willing to step in and help you rectify it so you still end up with a beautiful stool at the end of the course! Loved every minute of it and would definitely be happy to sign up for more of Peter’s courses. Highly recommended. "

Jan reviewed: Learn to Crochet Granny Squares Gift box

"It is quite expensive for what you get if I am honest. There are plenty of similar videos on the internet so I wouldn’t recommend this,"

Forest and Dot responded:

"Hi Jan I’m sorry to hear this, I haven’t received any messages from you to say you were unhappy with the kit. The kit also comes with full video call support which means you can arrange a call at any time to ask for any help needed. Of course this is factored into the price to provide one to one teaching. Please get in touch so I can rectify this issue for you. Many thanks Sophie "
