Lynn walton reviewed: The First Cut - lino cutting for beginners & rusty printmakers

"Fabulous day. Liz was superb. Clear instructions, a plethora of equipment, which she explained very clearly and always on hand to give individual advice to all of us on the course. Unlimited hot and cold drinks and choc biscuits throughout the day, and left with a bag of surprisingly good results considering not being artistic at all. Highly recommend 😍"

Liz Wellby - Artist, Teacher & Maker responded:

"Hi Lynn, Feeling a little flushed and have a big grin on my face - thank you so much for your thoughtful comments. It was a pleasure working with you all and thank you for sharing your day with me and Studio Cat. It was great to see your understanding and ideas develop throughout the workshop, culminating in a beautiful lino cut of your much missed cat - well done! Happy cutting and printing. Liz Wellby"

Dawn and Julian reviewed: Beginners 1-day 1-2-1 pottery / ceramics workshop for 1 person

"Julian and I have just finished a one-day pottery course with Louise and cannot speak highly enough of everything. We were able to try all types of pottery, from pinching, to throwing on the wheel and, despite being total beginners, under Louise's guidance and excellent tutoring, we produced items that we are really rather proud of and cannot wait to see after they are fired. We were part of Louise's family for the day and found this just the most welcoming and delightful way to help us to feel engaged and looked after. The location is beautiful and the facilities are just about perfect. We will definitely be coming back for another course and a catch up. Louise is a warm-hearted person who just makes you feel that you can achieve in the time you spend together. The day rushed by because we enjoyed everything that we were able to create and participate in. Thank you, Louise. We recommend this course highly."

clive reviewed: Make a Greenwood Stool

"The stool making course is exactly what you want from a true hands on experience. Maurice's calm and friendly approach has re-ignited my passion for wood crafts. As a long time wood worker, I had never done any true green wood crafting, and I learnt a lot from Maurice's vast knowledge base. A great location and very relaxed atmosphere."

Touch Wood responded:

"Thanks Clive, it was great having your company at the woodland workshop!"

Linda reviewed: Tiffany stained glass wild flowers workshop

"An absolutely brilliant day. I am hooked! The day was busy and fast paced, but Kate was very good at managing the time. We all came home with a bunch of wildflowers, that although very different from each others, they were all beautiful. The workshop was ideally placed, and very user friendly, Kate was the star of the day, she taught very well, making sure we understood the process, no question was ever deemed silly and I felt extremely comfortable, which was nice as I went on my own. Kate also kept us going with humour and encouragement. I will definitely be attending some more sessions, hopefully in September. If you are in two minds about giving this a go, do it, I am absolutely sure that you won't regret it."

Martin McAssey Glass responded:

"Thank you for the lovely review, we hope to see you again soon."

Emma reviewed: Blacksmithing workshop

"Great experience, highly recommend. Jason is a knowledgeable and encouraging instructor. Group size is capped out at four so you'll get a good blend of one on one teaching and opportunities to make your own mistakes. After making the first project to learn the basics, time is your own to create whatever you want. The forge is next to a workshop, a clearly well loved and fantastic community resource, which also means you have access to a range of other tools to finish off your pieces if needed. There's a cafe on site and parking just round the corner. I had a lovely weekend and will definitely be back. "

The Community Workshop and Cafe responded:

"Thanks for your review we enjoyed the weekend too"
