Tony and Kim reviewed: 1-to-1 Beginners Leatherworking Workshop

"A superb day with an incredible tutor. From the very outset it was clear we were in good hands with someone who was able to help complete newbies learn new skills. We left with something tangible and are already planning our next visit. We strongly recommend visiting ... a simply brilliant experience! "

Gary richardson reviewed: 1 Person Pen Making Experience. Make & take home the pen of your choice.

"Massive thanks to Duncan for an excellent course. I was concerned when I booked as I have been wood turning for some time and I wanted to understand the nuances of turning pens rather than basics of turning, I needn't have worried as Duncan ascertained my needs really early on and was flexible enough to meet those needs giving me room to work on the lathe without micro input once he was confident about my ability, The pen choices were extensive and he worked with me to find components that matched the pen to a wooden strapped watch I own. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Duncan in his well equipped workshop and came away with a pen that I will treasure. Thank you sir!!! Sincerely Gary"

Duncs Wood Turning responded:

"Gary, it was a pleasure to meet you and I'm pleased that you enjoyed the event and made a wonderful pen, your students will be impressed that you made it. Happy turning and many thanks. Rgds Duncs."

Sue reviewed: One day fused glass course at North Norfolk Stained Glass

"My friend Judy and I thoroughly enjoyed our day, so glad we didn’t give up trying to find it! ( Craftcourses failed to send detailed instructions on how to find it, you definitely need them!) Paul was very patient, explained everything from safety, where to get tools and materials, to the techniques to use. Kept us well supplied with tea/coffee and supplied lunch (soup and roll). Awaiting our items to be delivered but very pleased with the look prior to firing. I am certainly going to have a go at home, would definitely recommend."

North Norfolk Stained Glass responded:

"Hi Sue, A good day methinks! Many thanks for coming on the class and your kind review. Get some stuff and get fusing! Best wishes Paul"

Valerie reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"What an amazing workshop to do. I attended this workshop yesterday with my niece Kim. Having no sculpting experience I decided to have a go and I more than exceeded my own expectations. Jo and Andy are fabulous hosts. The setting was so peaceful and tranquil that it was easy to forget about every day stresses. Jo is extremely organised in her delivery of the course, but also very attentive to needs of each individual in the group. We all had fun and.came away with our very own little masterpieces. Jo and Andy will encourage you to bring out your creative side (which I believe we all have, even if we don’t think we do!) I would highly recommend this workshop. Have a go, you really might surprise yourself! I did!. And I want to do it again!."

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Valerie! So glad you and Kim had a great day and we could also help you with your home sculpture armature 🤗. You were so enthusiastic and it was a pleasure to discuss your project and move the idea forward. Have great fun! Jo xx"

Gemma Seikus reviewed: Beginners Ring Wax Carving Workshop

"This workshop was a truly unique and rewarding experience. It provided a perfect blend of creativity, craftsmanship, and hands-on learning, making it ideal for anyone interested in creating their very own one of a kind ring, whether you're a beginner or have some experience. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Emily was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the craft, taking the time to explain each step of the process in detail. The workshop was well-structured, starting with an introduction to the tools and materials, followed by demonstrations of various techniques. What I appreciated most was Emily’s patience and encouragement, allowing me to experiment and make a ring of my own while offering guidance when needed. The one-to-one session was another plus, as it allowed for attention and a more intimate learning environment. Throughout the session, I felt supported and inspired, and by the end of the workshop, I had created a beautiful ring that I’m proud to wear! The Colour Factory was also well-equipped and comfortable, with all the tools, materials, and tea(!) provided. The pacing of the workshop was just right, with enough time to complete the ring without feeling rushed. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. It was not only educational but also incredibly fun and fulfilling. I left with a deeper appreciation for the art of jewellery making and a one-of-a-kind piece that I will cherish. I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking to try something new, get creative, or simply enjoy a relaxing and productive day/evening."

The Metalsmith responded:

"What a spectacular review! Thank you so much, Gemma! I am overjoyed to read this and see that you had such a wonderful time, you gained so much from it and that you're so pleased with your beautiful new ring! Just the beginning of your jewellery journey; can't wait for the next workshop! See you soon!"

Sharon Brown reviewed: One day fused glass course at North Norfolk Stained Glass

"Tony and I had the most wonderful day. Paul was so welcoming and created the most relaxing environment. There was no pressure and we both felt at ease straight away. It was great learning how to use the equipment and Paul was happy to share websites etc should we choose to take the hobby further. Paul was kind, encouraging and helpful with ideas on how to tweak our designs to get the best out of them without being at all pushy. He has a great talent. We shared the day with a lovely couple (Alex and Tim - Hi!) so was able to have a laugh and a joke along the way as well. We were so well looked after (I dont think Ive ever drank so much tea before) and we were provided with a very tasty lunch which was shared around Pauls kitchen table. We met the tortoises and shared stories of places we had visited and picked up some recommendations too. Already contemplating booking the stained glass course and cant wait to receive our creations. Loved it! If you can, please go! Thank you Paul. "

North Norfolk Stained Glass responded:

"That is so kind Sharon, thank you. I had a lovely day with you all and hope to meet you again. Very best wishes Paul"

Amanda reviewed: Stained Glass 3d Copper Foiling for Beginners - Wreath or Flower Cascade at Vitreus Art

"This was a birthday gift from my partner as I've always wanted to try stained glass. I was a little nervous attending on my own but Mike and Jenny were really welcoming and easy to make conversation with. Mike was a great tutor, giving clear instructions and demos, he was always on hand for help and advice. Class size was small so you were never waiting for more than a minute for assistance. There was a great selection of glass to choose from and enough creative leeway to make the project my own. I've definitely caught the glass bug and would love to go back and try other glass crafts. We were well topped up with hot drinks throughout the day and lunch was excellent. All in all a really great, fun and informative day which I think was excellent value for money. "

Vitreus Art responded:

"Many thanks for your review Amanda - we hope to see you in the studio again some time! KR Mike"
