Amanda reviewed: Stained Glass 3d Copper Foiling for Beginners - Wreath or Flower Cascade at Vitreus Art

"This was a birthday gift from my partner as I've always wanted to try stained glass. I was a little nervous attending on my own but Mike and Jenny were really welcoming and easy to make conversation with. Mike was a great tutor, giving clear instructions and demos, he was always on hand for help and advice. Class size was small so you were never waiting for more than a minute for assistance. There was a great selection of glass to choose from and enough creative leeway to make the project my own. I've definitely caught the glass bug and would love to go back and try other glass crafts. We were well topped up with hot drinks throughout the day and lunch was excellent. All in all a really great, fun and informative day which I think was excellent value for money. "

"100% recommend. I went with my sister, niece and mum and we all had a wonderful time. The 1.5 hours flew by, but we still managed to achieve what we wanted and felt like we got really good value for money and time. Everything was explained really well (we'd never done it before) and at a good pace. We were able to decide what we wanted to do and there were plenty of resources. We all came away having really enjoyed ourselves and I'm sure we'll be back! "

"Absolutely brilliant course. Claire is an excellent tutor showing us all the basic skills and techniques needed to produce a large wet felted piece. All materials provided and examples of her own completed work for inspiration. Venue changed from the original one mentioned in the notes but it was an excellent facility and provided a great working space. I would recommend this course 100% for beginners and intermediate skills level. "

It was well worth the money and as it was just the two of us with Karen it felt like we got a lot of attention and advice as we made the rings. "A very useful morning (plus some of the afternoon!) in Catherine's studio. Catherine is very experienced and knowledgeable about stretch fabric and overlockers, which she shared with the small group. I had never used an overlocker before and am impressed with what it can do, if a little daunted by it all! However, Catherine has given me the confidence to persevere with my machine, which I may not have, had I not attended this workshop. Thank you."

Ian reviewed: One day MMA/MIG welding course

"A great day learning how to weld with both ARC and MIG processes. David was a great teacher and due to the small size group was able to provide lots of advice on where we were going wrong and how we could improve which greatly increased the quality of the welds. One note for any people attending the course is wear factor 50 around your neck if you have a long sleeved T-Shirt on as the UV from the welding made our necks very red (but not sore) and calmed down the next day. Just to say a great course and might come back for a one to one course to concentrate on the MIG welding so we can get on with putting an old and tired Mini back on the road. "
