"Had a fabulous day with Christine and the alpacas on Saturday, learnt all about how the fleece is made into wool and made a beautiful scarf to treasure. Went to meet all the alpacas and saw the ones that we were using their wool . I would highly recommend this course , and you get a lovely lunch. Ps remember to take some wellies or boots to go to see the alpacas."

"Spent a really great day weaving a very professional looking scarf under the expert instruction of Caroline. Wonderful venue and lovely lunch provided. Meeting the alpacas who had supplied the wool was a treat. Need to take wellies though some were provided. Altogether a really good day, I would highly recommend. "

"Amazing to be shown how to make a quality lampshade in such a short time. Kim was extremely friendly, approachable and helpful. Because of the small numbers (4) in the group was able to provide any individual support that was required. I was delighted with my finished lampshade which looks so professional, so much so that I bought a couple of kits from the shop and came home and made a further two lampshades at the weekend. I used wallpaper I had recently used for decorating my bedroom and can stop looking for a suitable match now! Would highly recommend this course "

"Absolutely brilliant. As a complete novice I can't recommend this course highly enough. I had bought a MIG welder a couple of years ago and despite watching several YouTube videos was never able to get the hang of it. Tony is an excellent teacher and all the learning was 1-2-1. The day was extremely interactive, Tony would demonstrate different types of welds then let me have several attempts, each time giving me pointers on how to improve. The difference between my first weld and my last at the end of the day was amazing. No stress, and a very enjoyable day. Thoroughly recommended."

The location is incredible & sitting around a fire whilst whittling the spatula I made really was something I will remember. "I had a lovely time doing a full day beginners workshop with Frances. I had never done any mosaic work before but I came out with a striking sunflower on a slate background which is now hanging outside on my garden wall. Frances has a pleasantly relaxed teaching style & gave me just the right amount of guidance to produce a piece I can be proud of. I would certainly recommend this as a great day doing something both relaxing & productive. I am hoping to be back soon."

"Four friends who go back 50 years celebrated a big birthday by attending Christine’s felt-making taster day at her beautiful cottage in the lovely Forest of Dene. Christine explored what we wanted to get out of the day and we were helped to each make an individual felt design which would be suitable for framing. We also made colourful felt balls suitable to use as buttons or earrings and made flower brooches. We had such fun choosing our own colours and developing our designs. Christine’s studio was inspirational too, with many beautiful items she had created displayed. We had a delicious lunch sitting in her stunning garden and Christine took several photos of us at work which she promised to share with us. We were so proud of our achievements at the end of the day as we had no previous experience of this skill. We would all thoroughly recommend the day."
