Nuno, two person felted wool onto silk scarf course
Description
This course price is for two people. Please look at the calendar to arrange a mutual convenient date. If you are interested in doing this course and don't have someone who wants to join you, please do message me. Discover how to make a floaty, beautiful Nuno felted silk scarf using fine wool fibre tops in gorgeous colour ways. Add plant and other fibres to create texture and lustre all felted and embedded onto a long silk scarf. With highly experienced fibre artist and tutor Josephine Gornall in her studio which is in Fletchers Mill, Dean Clough, Halifax, West Yorkshire. There will be lots of samples of Nuno felting and scarfs for inspiration. I will do a demonstration of the nuno felting technique. You will then be able to experiment by making a small sample piece(s) felting wool and other fibres onto loose weave fabrics before starting the scarf. Suitable for those that have maybe tried wet felting before but not necessarily nuno felting which is wet - felting wool and other types of fibres onto the surface of the fabric to make a strong but drapey piece of fabric. But anyone is very welcome to join us. It is ideal for making scarves and lightweight clothing. There is well priced accommodation on the Dean Clough site and lots of other accommodation nearby, if your travelling a distance. A Railway station 10- 15mins walk and a bus station very nearby
