Cracket! 2 day beginners hand tool woodworking course
Description
Beginner’s hand tool woodworking course. Ever struggled to saw a straight line or use a chisel? It’s not that you can’t do it - it’s just that you haven’t learned the right techniques yet. In this two-day course, you’ll master the skills needed to tackle home woodworking projects using hand tools. By the end, you’ll leave with your own handmade Cracket Stool. All tools and materials are provided, so you don’t need to bring anything. You’ll learn how to use a saw, chisels, hand planes, and even a few specialised tools in a step-by-step, hands-on environment. You’ll leave with a beautiful stool and the knowledge to start building your own toolkit and buying timber. Say goodbye to crooked cuts and rough edges, and gain the confidence to take on future projects—whether it’s making shelves, fixing a gate, or crafting gifts. Looking forward to seeing you in the workshop!

FAQs
You will be using ANH Artisan’s tools during the course which will have been sharpened and prepared prior to your arrival. Unfortunately, you cannot use your own tools during the course as they may not be sharpened and set up safely and correctly for the day and we will not have time to prep additional kit. However if you have your own woodworking tools that you want to bring for advice on how to use them or set them up/sharpen then please do so, but they will be your responsibility to look after and ensure they are safely stored
The workshop is located within a former quarry which means some of the paths can be a little uneven underfoot. The workshop is accessed via a long ramp and we have accessible toilet facilites to the rear of the workshop. Our aim is to make our courses available to every woodworker, however please be aware the nature of the work we undertake duing the courses can be physically challenging, therefore if you have any questions or concerns regarding accessibility please get in touch and we can discuss how to accomodate your needs.
