"Nov 4-5th. Even as a total beginner I thoroughly enjoyed the two day Wet Felting course with Josephine. She was very patient and explained each progression in detail. It was nice to be in a small group where you had the teachers undivided attention. All the extensive materials that were available allowed you to experiment and the end results were brilliant. I highly recommend. "

"I had a great time on the two day wet felting course 4/5th November. Josephine is a lovely teacher, very friendly and welcoming putting us all at ease from the beginning. She explained about all the different wools and about mixing colours for the picture. She was very clear with instructions and very good at suggesting ideas to improve your picture. I found the two days very relaxing and would definitely recommend it. We were taught in a small group so help and advice was always available. Josephine has an amazing selection of different wools and fibres to try and experiment with. She puts a lot of effort in to making sure that your day is enjoyable and that you come home with a picture that you’re pleased with. Thanks so much, I had a great time. "

"We had a great day being taught wet felting techniques by Jo for making pictures. We had originally booked the Nuno scarf course but when we saw the examples of artwork that wet felting could achieve we asked Jo if the day could be changed. It was our wedding anniversary and we thought it would be nice to each produce a memento of the day. Jo also thought this was a nice idea. We both found Jo to be a great teacher. Jo mentioned that she offers family sessions and we could see that anyone with young children would love it; especially the part where you start wetting and soaping the felt :-) We had a thoroughly enjoyable day with Jo. Highly recommended."

"We both had a fantastic time on the felting 2 day workshop. It was very relaxing and we learnt so much. The different types of sheep and the different wool types wow! Josephine was very clear with instructions and very supportive in helping us create our felted pictures. The whole process was very therapeutic and enjoyable. We would like to frame our pictures and we are definitely looking to book on to another workshop. "

"Myself and my two daughters attended a wet felting workshop with Jo on Saturday 29th April. Jo provided a lovely welcoming environment. In addition her studio is in an old chapel with many original features which was also a joy to spend time in. Jo was very knowledgeable and shared her expertise which allowed the three of us who were all beginners to thoroughly enjoy the day and create felt artwork which we were all proud of - each being able to work at our own pace. The day was very relaxed and there was a fantastic selection of wools, fibres and fabrics to wet our creative juices. Would absolutely recommend trying this craft with Jo - you don't need any previous experience, it is very relaxing and the felt is so forgiving allowing you to amend, add or remove throughout the process. Very addictive! Hope to do more in the future Thank you Jo "

"Have just had a very enjoyable day wet felting. Went with a friend for her birthday and both of us really enjoyed it. Jo was very knowledgeable, explaining the process and different techniques we could use. There was an amazing range of resources, so the range of colours and effects we could include were pretty much unlimited. I would really recommend this course, Jo is really encouraging and patiently allowed us both time to experiment - even though we took much longer than expected!! Thanks Jo, it was fabulous."

"The 3-hr session was the right length to obtain a taste of what needle-felting involves, learn the basic techniques and helpful dos and dont's. Jo is lovely, with a depth of knowledge and experience (very skilled herself, as beautiful examples of her work demonstrate), but very patient with beginners to this craft, no matter how ham-fisted. Despite my breaking three felting needles and producing a creature with a definite identity crisis, I really enjoyed myself and would love to try a different aspect of felting with Jo. Tea/coffee on tap in a lovely venue and very good value for money. "

"I’m often one of those procrastinators who has ideas about a new textile project but just never get around to doing it. By attending these classes it’s given me the focus I needed to work on the projects. Because it’s a drop in class I didn’t need to worry about wasting money if my schedule prevents me from attending sometimes. Jo is knowledgeable and helpful with her suggestions as to how I can carry out my ideas and supplies me with tea and biscuits when I’m flagging! "

With extensive tutoring experience, she is clearly highly skilled in conveying a wide range of skills inclusive of all abilities. We had light-hearted fun whilst totally absorbed in the endless possibilities of Jo's wide ranging materials, all explained and available to explore. It emerged that Jo had worked across all age-ranges from young children to oldies, accordingly tailoring her approach. I would recommend her for little local groups or whole classes. "

She is a brilliant teacher explaining how wet felting works, demonstrating each stage clearly and giving advice, handy tips and support throughout. I teach art to 7-11 year olds and Jo kindly shared her experience of wet felting with children, giving me lots of ideas on where to resource cheaper materials and equipment and how to make the process easier for younger children. I can't rate this course highly enough. Fantastic!"
