Although I graduated with a BA(Hons) in Fine Art (painting) from West Surrey College of Art and obtained an MA Fine Art (sculpture) from the Arts University Bournemouth, I have always enjoyed working with textiles and have done so for more than 45 years.
I am a practising artist and exhibit regularly as a member of the salon group of Dorset Visual Arts and Wessex Contemporary Arts as well as in larger collective exhibitions.
"Wonderful day. Given heaps of inspiration and piles of fabric at the start. Left to our own devices as to the design/ content of the piece, but guven muchvadvice andxencouragement during the day "
Imogen Bittner Studio responded:
"A wonderfully intuitive response to the subject matter in the choice of fabric, colour and stitching.
Vicky’s seascape evolved with confidence during the day and she left with an exciting and beautifully thought out piece of work."
"Definitely a 5 star for Imogen’s workshop. This is the fourth workshop I have taken part in with her, and each time I have had a thoroughly enjoyable experience in Imogen’s inspirational studio that provides a calm space in which to work. Imogen provides excellent tutoring and is always on hand to help, whilst encouraging individual creativity.

"Another really enjoyable day working with Lorraine who produces a beautiful response to her subject matter. I can’t wait to see the finished piece which I know will include her own considerable sewing techniques and skills."
"Wonderful day - welcoming, relaxed and fun
I had very little art/craft experience and with much encouragement and assistance from Imogen, came away with a picture to be proud of.
Thoroughly recommend to those with experience or none - great gift - and opportunity to meet new and interesting people"
Imogen Bittner Studio responded:
"I had a very enjoyable day helping unlock that inner creativity!
You made a beautiful piece, delicately interpreting your own vision; having limited experience only added to this.Thank you for adding to an extremely pleasant day."
"Imogen welcomed us into her lovely cottage with a beautiful wood burning fire. We set about drawing jugs and mugs. There was a huge mound of fabrics to look through for inspiration for our collage choices. Imogen also pointed things out to us in her own beautiful framed pictures. The home made cake was lovely. Thank you for making it Imogen. It was interesting to see the project that Imogen herself was working on. I’ll look forward to seeing her finished picture especially if it features the flat back which she showed us. I have come away from the day inspired by Imogen’s art and have spent most of today working on my collage. Thank you Imogen for your hospitality. "
