"Bought the design and make day as a gift for my husband for Christmas and so glad I did. He really enjoyed it all, started with a keyring to get the feel, then made 2 decorative hanging basket brackets by the end of the day. Matt is very experienced and is clear in his instructions so my husband was able to be very hands on with the brackets. Welfare facilities on hand, parking on site, set in lovely countryside. Even managed to have a meal at a lovely pub before heading home. Such a great day, thank you Matt, I'll come and do it next. "

"I bought this for my partner’s birthday as he’d mentioned his interest in forging previously, and decided to try my hand at it too. What a brilliant experience! Matt was really thorough explaining processes and techniques. He gave us the space to learn how to understand each process for ourselves, but was always on hand if we asked for assistance. I went into this thinking that I might not do too well as I’m not the strongest, but with Matt’s support and encouragement, I’ve come away with something I can be proud of. "A brilliant day with Matt at Fair Mile Forge learning traditional blacksmithing techniques to create our own blacksmith knives. I have wanted to delve into the art of forging for a while and I am very grateful to Matt for giving me the bug to keep learning! I shall be returning for more. "I booked this course for my husband and son for a joint Christmas present. They both had a fantastic day and made many memories. The website was easy to use, I messaged the website with some queries prior to booking and Matt came back straight away. Friendly, approachable, enthusiastic and professional, Matt was a great tutor who put them at ease straight away. A great day, and would recommend it to anyone looking to do a similar experience. "
