Kate Hunter reviewed: Rings and Things - Soldering for beginners at Simply Amazing Jewellery School

"Such a fantastic day! Viv was brilliant, talking us through the tools and materials, then guiding us through each step to create each ring. Her guidance, warmth and knowledge were amazing! Any questions we had, Viv would happily answer and also advise, nothing was too much! Lovely refreshments and a welcoming atmosphere. I would highly recommend this workshop, and will happily attend again to refresh my new skills."

Carol Parker-Bryce reviewed: Lampworking Workshop: Full Day Beginners Workshop

"This was something I had always wanted to try and oh my goodness I had the most amazing day. It was everything I wanted and more; One to one personal tuition from Suzanne who was patience personified with this absolute beginner. We covered technique after technique with Suzanne giving me the confidence to tackle each one, slowly building up my knowledge in easy, achievable stages throughout the day. Suzanne, explained and demonstrated everything clearly then was close at hand to encourage and support as I tried for myself. The day just flew but I came away feeling I'd learnt so much, with a gorgeous handful of beads to be proud of and craving more. I can't thank Suzanne enough and I'm looking at dates to book a further course with her. I highly recommend this course and Suzanne as a tutor."

Toby Jones reviewed: 5 Day Professional Furniture Refinishing Workshop - Traditional & Contemporary

"Ollie is a great teacher with knowledge and passion. There was a calm efficiency about the course which is almost entirely hands on. Ollie has a knack of knowing when to gently intervene and instruct. I learnt far more on the 5 day course than I imagined I would. I am no expert, but I feel confident and capable of tackling a wide range of tasks. I also know that Ollie would be happy to provide ad hoc advice if I needed it. The course notes are excellent as well as the refined shopping list for future projects that followed. Thank you Ollie!"

"A great experience! Pat is an amazing teacher, very welcoming, friendly and encouraging! The two hours flew by so quickly and I was able to produce several pots, two of which were then glazed, fired and ready for me to collect a few weeks later. "I was really impressed by this course. It was packed with information, activity and comprehensively covered the really interesting art of raku and saggar firing. Alison and Abi were helpful and encouraging at all times managing to spread themselves around a group of 7 very well . A huge amount of effort must have been put into running everything including the delicious food. The setting was in the beautiful Devon countryside which for an urban dweller was very enjoyable. I would highly recommend this course and hope to return again next year."
