Georgina Hadjipanayi reviewed: One day stained glass workshop London for beginners and enthusiasts

"I completed the 1 day beginners workshop and had a brilliant day. I am someone who tends to get bored easily and can struggle to keep my concentration; I didn't experience either at all, during the day. I absolutely loved it. Tejal is a wonderful teacher; she knows her craft, she's engaging and she knows how to give autonomy when needed. She was also very understanding of my love of symmetry and was patient with my whilst I tried hard to achieve this on my butterfly for my kids! I really enjoyed learning how to create a stained glass masterpiece and would be keen to work with this artform again in the future. Thanks so much, Tejal!"

Suzie reviewed: One day stained glass workshop London for beginners and enthusiasts

"I attended a one day course recently and can’t recommend it enough! Tejal is patient, supportive and an endless fountain of stained glass knowledge, the day was worth it just being able to have a talk with her about all things glass art! The setting was very clean and had everything you needed to make your piece including the best teacher. As a newbie to stained glass she made me feel very comfortable and helped me produce a wonderful star to take home. I hope to take another class again soon! Thank you Tejal!"

Liam reviewed: Knife Making and Bladesmith Classes: Hand-Forged Viking Knife

"Had such a good day! Really professional and down-to-earth instructor who knows their craft intimately. You never know how these things will go when you book a workshop day but any doubts quickly melted away as soon as I got there. You get into the crafting straight away with all the help you need and it’s never too much trouble for them to answer any questions you may have. The items you leave with are quality; this is because they’re not only lovingly made by you, but are tutored to you by a person who can show exactly what they mean due to years of honing their craft. They walk-the-walk so to speak. Anyone who is even thinking about giving it a go should book on, highly recommend!"

Rahila reviewed: Natural skincare & wellbeing - make & take parties/workshops

"We received a very warm welcome from Debbie & Archie the dog! From the start Debbie was relaxed, personable and made my mum and me feel at ease in her company. Over the course of 2 hours Debbie instructed us on how to make body scrub, whipped body butter, lip balm and bath melts from natural ingredients, many of which you would already have in your kitchen cupboards. We fragranced our products using very high quality essential oils, used beetroot powder to add a gorgeous deep red colour to our lip balm and even added a sprinkle of dried lavender and rose petals to the bath melts! Debbie clearly put a lot of thought into the workshop and made sure that we were looked after and comfortable. We really enjoyed taking some time out to do something mindfully for a few hours, but the best thing about the workshop was Debbie. Thank you!"

TimeOut4Me responded:

"Thank you so much Rahila, it was such a great pleasure chatting and having time-out with you. ?"

Lucy reviewed: Pleated lampshade making workshop with Moji Designs in London, Minerva Workshop

"I absolutely loved the course. Moji was delightful, knowledgeable, patient and great fun! It was a complete pleasure to learn this skill. I was thrilled with my lampshade and have since made about 4 more - each one slightly better than the last. It takes practice but it is a wonderful project and I have thoroughly enjoyed making the shades. I would be very keen to do the next course - gathered lampshades and will sign up as soon as I can. Thanks again Moji and apologies it has taken me a while to do this review! Lucy"

Moji Designs responded:

"Dear Lucy, Thank you so much for your kind review and I am so looking forward to seeing you again hopefully soon."

Ash reviewed: Book binding - Zoom Saturday Morning Workshop

"I did this course remotely and was very impressed by how the course was run and Lorna's very friendly and enthusiastic manner which invited the whole group to bond. Lorna took the time to repeat a process if anyone struggled, and was very patient in answering all of our questions. It helped that all the book elements were already pre-cut and prepared for us. I would strongly recommend this course to all bookbinding beginners just to understand some of the basics of bookbinding techniques."

Crumps Barn Studio responded:

"Thank you so much for joining us and for the recommendation. Very glad you enjoyed the workshop! ~ Crumps Barn Studio"

Angie Heal reviewed: SCULPTURE UNLOCKED: The Portrait in Clay from Photographs

"I really enjoyed this course with Brook and my co-participants. Brook is an excellent teacher, who puts in much time and effort both in preparation and during course days. She delivers a very good mix of applying theory to practice, demonstration and teaching about other sculptors. Whilst it is clearly different to face to face courses, I really appreciate the benefits of online tuition. This includes being able to do things at your own pace, and the time and financial savings of not having to travel long distances and stay in accommodation. There is no rush to finish things in an allocated time, so I have repeatedly gone back to my sculpture over a number of months, before finishing it. I have enjoyed it and learned so much I will definitely be participating in Brook's other online courses this year too."

Studio 27A responded:

"Thanks so much, Angie - for your valuable feedback and for your rewarding engagement with the course. Its been a great pleasure working with you and I look forward to welcoming you back. Best wishes, Brook"

Mairead reviewed: Beginners 2 sterling silver stacking rings jewellery course

"This experience was amazing. There was plenty of time to create some beautiful rings and Sarah was welcoming and a great teacher. This was my first experience making jewellery with silver and I learnt so much. I really enjoyed that Sarah allowed me to do all the work, and guided throughout. I liked that I was given explanations as to why things were done and how it worked. Sarah is a great teacher - I feel like I have learned, rather than just experienced making the rings. I will be booking more sessions, and hope to learn a lot more. Thank you - I had a fantastic afternoon. I would recommend 100%!"

Annegien Loudon-Koudijs reviewed: One-to-one 5 day lampshade making masterclass with Moji Designs

"I really enjoyed the 5 day masterclass lampshade making by Moji. She is an excellent teacher. She is fun, a real professional and she is strict and pushes you to perfection. She doesn't want you to settle for less. She really aims for quality, even in the learning proces. I like that. It was an intensive course and I made 4 differnet types of lampshades, so I really got a good sense for the carft. What I also liked was her passion for crafst in general and especially for the lampshade making. While working we talked a lot about craftmanship and about setting up a business for a lampshade maker. What does it take to set up such a business? How do you build a collection? How about pricing? etc. I could ask everyting I wanted to know. I really liked this very professional and business approach. That was what I was looking for. And besides her excelent teaching she prepares lovely lunches!! It was the trip, dealing with all the covid regulations and the costs more than worthwhile! A huge thank you!"

Moji Designs responded:

"Thank you so much for your kind words Annegien. I am so glad to hear that you enjoyed the course and I am looking forward to seeing your ideas come to fruition. A huge thank you to you too for attending my course despite all the restrictions and difficulties around traveling to UK from Holland. I am so grateful that you chose to work with me and I wish you the best in all you do!"

Alice Youngs reviewed: Introduction to candle-making as a business

"I can't recommend this course enough for anyone who wants to learn the basics of starting a candle company. Not only does Jo know her stuff she also recommends brands, products and tips of the trade. I had no idea how technical working with wax could be however Jo presented a booklet full in information which it great for jotting down extra notes thought out the class. I can't stress enough how informative and interesting I found it. Jo also taught me about the requirements you need to get in order to sell your products. I left the class with no questions unanswered she also was more than happy answer any emails if I had an follow up issues."

Jill Bramley reviewed: Wet felting workshop: Introduction to picture making in Henstridge near Stalbridge Dorset & Somerset

"I really enjoyed my day with Sally. I was made to feel welcome immediately and felt very comfortable and safe in the workshop surroundings. I had never done any felting before but we went through the process together at a pace which suited the participants and I now feel I could have a go on my own. I liked the fact that most of the utensils were reused/recycled and readily available so that you would not have to invest heavily to get started. At the end of the Worksop I came away with a piece which I am very happy to display in my home. I would readily recommend this course."

Craft Workshops responded:

"Thank you Jill - so glad you enjoyed your day and your finished wet felt picture is a delight. Look forward to seeing what you create next :)"

Peter Marsh reviewed: Beginners Epoxy Resin Workshop

"Richard is an attentive and interesting teacher of this very good course. Basics are explained, and questions are well answered giving in-depth knowledge as needed. Just enough making to be able to practice most of the starter elements. The workshop is a bit stuffy on a hot day, so if it is warm I'd wear light clothes!"

Michael Brown reviewed: Two day dry stone walling course for beginners in association with Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain

"My son and I attended a brilliant weekend course in Diggle with the Lancashire Branch. Really good instruction on the theory and practice, and really well structured over the 2 days. It's really good fun and surprisingly addictive; you'll be amazed at how quickly the day passes and it was pretty common at break or lunch-time to find people still working 'looking for that one perfect sized piece of stone'. Definitely recommend."

Julie Rayner reviewed: Beginners 2 sterling silver stacking rings jewellery course

"Spent a brilliant few hours creating two beautiful stacking rings and absolutely loved it. It was a lovely and relaxed environment right from the outset, Sarah is so personable and fun to be with whilst you are working on creating your rings. Not really knowing what I would be actually doing I needn't have worried as Sarah is an excellent teacher explaining each step (and why you do it) in detail with easy to follow instructions. The sense of achievement you feel, as its is very much you making your own rings, still brings a big smile every time I look at my beautiful rings (and I'm still making everyone else look at them too!!) Would thoroughly recommend Sarah and this course and will hopefully be able to do further courses with Sarah in the future."
