janine e greenwood reviewed: Glass fusing workshop - half day

"Just finished our third workshop with the amazingly talented Jill. This time is was a half day to complete a lantern, which we did as well as a tea light and a wave glass. Jill is a very clear teacher who has infinite patience and great ideas. Offers help if needed but never interfers. I would highly recommend this course, no previous experience needed and you end up with beautiful pieces. Oh and she has scrummy homemade chocolates!"

Fired Glass responded:

"We are so pleased you enjoyed your return visit and third workshop with us. Thank you for you kind words. Regards John and Jill."

Mitra Cherradi reviewed: From melting to money making - The business of candles - Online Course

"I did the online course a few months ago and found it to be excellent. The course covers everything from thinking of the ideal client to practical candle making etc… I can go through the course in my own time and also revisit the sessions anytime I want which is great. I then had a one hour chat with Jane which was great. I found Jane to be very friendly, easy to talk to and discuss my ideas with. Jane has a wealth of knowledge and was very helpful giving me lots of ideas and advice on how to go forward I hope to be able to get my ideas of the ground in the near future and will definitely be in touch with Jane for further advice I am so glad that I came across Jane’s facebook group by chance where she shares so much information. Thank you so much Jane for everything."

The Candle Coach responded:

"Thank you for your lovely review. I can't wait to see your business grow and look forward to helping you in the future."

Leo Westland reviewed: Introduction to welding course for two people

"Roger arranged for the two of us to spend the day in his workshop. Made great use of the time and allowed us to get loads done in the day. We learned the basics of TIG welding and improved our skills during the day, also learned how to brass braze. By the end of the day, we had new metalwork skills and had produced a great sculpture to take home. 5/5. Talk to Roger before the day and he can help you start to think about what is possible to make during the day."

Kay Eldred reviewed: Introduction to Silkscreen Printing in Cambridgeshire

"What a wonderful way to spend a day. I had always wanted to try screen printing and Judith is an inspirational teacher. The teaching space was bright and airy, we had plenty of room and plenty of materials to play with. Judith explained everything in a really helpful way and we had great fun, trying out techniques and making lots of amazing patterns and pictures. We were all inspired to just 'have a go' and the results were amazing. I was glad I took my apron as it turns out I'm a very messy screen printer! Oh and the tea and biscuits were plentiful and tasty too. If you want to spend a fun day, forgetting the cares of the world and basically playing, then I can't recommend this highly enough. Thank you so much Judith."

Sam Emptage reviewed: One day introduction to stained glass for complete beginners (copper foil method)

"The best craft workshop I've done to date!! The small class size was definitely a plus point when I booked and better than that, it was one to one when I got there. We got stuck in straight away with step by step instructions from Sally. She broke it all down into stages and explained everything very well. I made 2 Christmas decorations which I'm really pleased with. Sally also very kindly took extra time to show me more of how to do one stage I was particularly interested in. I would thoroughly recommend this course and am looking forward to doing more of Sally's courses in the future."

Craft Workshops responded:

"Thank you Sam - that's really fab! So pleased you enjoyed the day in the Workshop and that you got lots of help and encouragement where you needed it so you took home two very good finished pieces of stained glass decoration. You are a natural with a soldering iron that's for sure! Look forward to seeing you again soon :)"

Yvonne Williams reviewed: Quilting: Quilt-in-a-Day

"Just returned from this course. I’ve always wanted to learn quilting but never got around to it. Jacqueline was amazing, an excellent teacher, very approachable and took time with each of us at every stage. Came away with my first quilt completed. Home made lunch was absolutely amazing. Beautiful venue. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this course to anyone who is thinking of learning quilting."

Bee-spoke Quilts responded:

"Thank you for your kind comments. It is always a pleasure to pass on the skills of this heritage (and addictive) craft to new students. I wish you many happy hours of quilting in the future!"

Allan Davis reviewed: Felt Trilby or Fedora - Millinery Workshop

"I brought this course as a honeymoon present for my wife and myself, and it was great. We had a problem with our car which meant we were late starting and had an interrupted first day - Virna was very kind, being flexible and supportive, doing her best not to add any additional stress to a difficult day, which we really appreciated. Once we were able to settle down and really get going properly on the second day we had a lovely time - Virna is clearly very skilled, and a great teacher as well. Beyond that, it was a real pleasure to chat to her through the day. Would thoroughly recommend this course and teacher."

Virna Pasquinelli Millinery responded:

"Dear Allan and Jeanette, Thanks for the kind words and especially for having me part of such special time for you both. I really enjoyed my time with you and the hats that you made are exceptionally fabulous! Well done! I hope to see you again. Best wishes for your future together as husband and wife. Take care Virna"

Gita Harcourt reviewed: One-to-one 3 day lampshade making masterclass including business startup guide for crafters

"I had the most brilliant 3 days learning the craft of lampshade making with Moji! Not only her attention to detail and patience with me as a relative beginner, but she is also kind and funny... we laughed a lot. It's hard work and the day is made all the better by a delicious lunch! I most appreciated Moji's business advice which was detailed but explained in a simple way that i could understand. I am so excited to be starting my lampshade journey."

Moji Designs responded:

"Thank you so much for your kind words, Gita. I really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us and write this awesome review. Looking forward to seeing you again and Happy Making! x"

Helena Meadows reviewed: Crafty Basketry's Hedgerow Basket Making for Beginners/Improvers - Day Course at Cowshed Workshop, Tenterden

"I had a really wonderful day on the one day basket weaving course with Marianne a couple of weeks ago! Marianne was such a relaxed and encouraging teacher and I loved the fact that she let us all be creative with our baskets, trying different weaves or shapes that we had seen in her own beautiful examples, rather than just making us all follow the same pattern. Marianne was super at helping you out when you got stuck, never making you feel like you were asking too many times and had such a chilled attitude that really put enjoying the process and creating a therapeutic environment as her top priority. I so enjoyed trying something so different and so natural and found the process of weaving so mindful - I haven't be able to sit down and focus on one thing with a clear mind in a very long time so that was a huge positive outcome for me. I am super pleased with the basket I made, Marianne supported me to try out a double weave with two different colours of willow which I absolutely love - it is currently on loan to my Dad for his kindling wood but when I get my allotment I am planning for next year I will be using it to transport gardening tools and bring pack veg and flower yields! Thank you for such a great experience Marianne and being so kind, I hope I can do another course with you at some point in the not too distant future!"

Crafty Basketry responded:

"Thank you so much for your amazing review, Helena. It means so much to me, you feeling relaxed and mindful and able to focus; your body and soul completely in sync. Isn't it meditative! Would be wonderful, if you could do another course, or maybe even a two-day course. Perhaps if you decide to stay with Linda for a bit, over the winter months. Thank you again very much for your lovely words. Good luck with the veg plot (sounds really exciting!) and knit a bit from time to time, as that will bring your mind to focus as well and is creative. All the very best and hope to see you again soon, Marianne x"

Rosey reviewed: Seaglass jewellery workshop at Sea & Solder, Dorset.

"I absolutely LOVED the course that I did with Sea and Solder. I have never done anything like this before and was a little apprehensive on arrival, but I needn't have worried! Everything was explained so clearly and I was guided through each step. The day was so much fun (my daughter and I did the course together which was just lovely) and I made a ring with a piece of sea glass that I'd found locally. I am so delighted with the end result - it's my favourite piece of jewellery and I'm still amazed that I made something so beautiful myself! I highly recommend Sea and Solder - I will definitely be doing more courses in the future. I really need a bangle now to go with my ring..."

Sea & Solder responded:

"Thank you soo very much for a lovely review Rosey. It was an absolute pleasure having yourself and your daughter in the workshop. I'm soo pleased you enjoyed your day and it's so wonderful to hear that your seaglass ring is your new favourite! It would be fantastic to have you back one day to make that matching bangle! Jules"

Linda Wain reviewed: Making silk flowers workshop

"What a lovely day we had. Rose is an excellent teacher, very patient and helpful. The course, making velvet poppies, was a birthday gift to my sister, allowing us to spend a creative, fulfilling day learning a new skill, together. I had attended one of Rose's courses previously, on that occasion creating a beautiful Christmas decoration. On both days the preparation for the courses was meticulous and refreshments were generously supplied. At the end of the day all the students left with a beautiful flower. I highly recommend these courses and will definitely be doing more of them in the future."

Made with Rose responded:

"Thank you Linda. It was a great day and you should be proud of the beautiful poppy that you made. Looking forward to creating new flowers with you again."

Ed W reviewed: One to one, One day, blacksmith course

"I attended this a couple of weeks ago. The location is very interesting - the Amberly museum - looks worth visit in its own right. The forge is fantastic and great to see blacksmithing skills kept alive. During the day I made (with alot of guidance from Alex) a log fire tong. Alex takes you through every step by demonstration and then you are in action straight away. The course was a birthday present and a most enjoyable day with something productive coming out of it. Would highly recommend."

Chalk Pit Forge responded:

"Hi Ed, Thank you very much for the great review, it's much appreciated. Glad you're happy with your tongs. All the best Alex"
