Kelly & Ray Alcock reviewed: One day Wood Carving Experience

"I booked this course as an early Christmas for my dad, Ray, he's always been keen on working with wood. To say he enjoyed the course would be an understatement! He hasn't stopped talking about it since. He thoroughly enjoyed it, he said that Pete was an excellent tutor who made him feel immediately welcome & at ease. He learnt an awful lot & is very much looking forward to continuing with these workshops. Thank you so much for giving my Dad such an enjoyable & inspiring day! Kelly, Ray's daughter. "

Gordon Ash reviewed: Two day (consecutive) stained glass starter course at North Norfolk Stained Glass

"Paul is not only a master craftsman but an outstanding teacher. Arriving with ZERO experience I left the course after two full days of learning and creation tired but happy with the content and output. It was fantastic and has given me the confidence to go off now and tackle this as a hobby myself. From tuition to help on the dos and donts and where to go for supplies was immense. Great session I cannot rate him highly enough and I am sure will be back for more as my ability and confidence grows"

Richard Green reviewed: Beginners Woodturning

"An excellent day at Roger Cutler’s Creetown workshop. Roger has a very professional, knowledgeable but relaxed style of conveying the various aspects of woodturning. A really good balance of explanation, demonstration and encouragement helped me to turn a lovely bowl out of a block of wood. I would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone who is interested in learning about woodturning or anyone just wanting to know if woodturning is for them."

"I really enjoyed the course which exceeded my expectations. Mark is an excellent teacher and throughout the week we learned lots of techniques and use of tools. By the end of the week the project allowed me to take away an impressive step stool, and more importantly the confidence to try more challenging projects on my own. The daily talks on a range of topics were interesting and useful. Thanks Mark."

"I recently attended a two-day stained glass workshop, and it was an incredible experience! The Paul the instructor brought a wealth of knowledge and expertise that truly made a difference. From the very beginning, he guided us through the entire process, ensuring we understood each step. Ultimate Botanical Casting Experience reviewed: The Ultimate Botanical Casting Experience

"Had the most wonderful afternoon with Janet. She was such a lovely tutor who gave us information not only about clay and how it works, but also about the mill where the course was held. Both myself and my cousin came away with pieces we're proud of - and I'd most definitely like to go back and "have another go" to see if I've retained some of Janet's helpful hints. Just great fun. Plus Janet makes a really amazing cuppa/Hot Chocolate with Bailey's depending on your tipple! Thanks Janet"

Emma reviewed: Stained glass leading for beginners

"Thoroughly enjoyed the course when we got stuck into the practical part. I feel the introduction was too long winded and unnecessary having done similar craft courses previously. I thought leaving 2 people who had never cut glass before to go into the house at the beginning was irresponsible and risking an accident "

Stained Glassic responded:

"Dear Emma, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. I value constructive criticism as it helps me improve. I enjoy introducing stained glass with its historical context to give students a richer, more immersive experience during the workshop. While some workshops might skip this aspect, I believe it’s an important addition that connects students to the craft's heritage, ensuring it’s not just seen as a skill to acquire but a tradition to preserve. That said, you’re the first to share a differing opinion, and I will certainly take your feedback into consideration. In the past, this element has often been described as "the cherry on top," though I understand that cherries aren’t everyone’s preference. Regarding the brief moment I left you and your daughter, I appreciate your concern. I assure you it was only for a short time (no more than 3–4 minutes) to clear your coffee cups and wash my hands. Nonetheless, now that you’ve raised this, I will be even more conscious of ensuring no one feels unattended, no matter how brief the moment. Thankfully, so far (fingers crossed), I’ve maintained a very low to zero incident rate. Once again, I appreciate your feedback and thank you for helping me enhance the workshop experience for future participants. Kind regards, Jamal Rafay"

Liz Hollman reviewed: Watercolour Wonders: A Hands-On Workshop for All Levels

"Purnima's workshop was relaxing friendly and informative. There were just a few of us this time which gave us the opportunity to spend some extra time with Purnima going over techniques that we need a little extra help with. The heating in the room was a bit of an issue but the staff at the Village Hall were very helpful so we managed fine. Looking forward to the next workshop in January."

Art By Purnima responded:

"Hello Liz Thank-you for your review really pleased to hear that you enjoyed the session I particularly enjoyed demonstrating the watercolour pencils too. See you at the next workshop. "

Nick B reviewed: Five day woodwork course - tools

"A brilliant course. Mark is a great teacher who strives for perfection and helps you to try to do the same. I made a step stool during the week and love it. All of the work involved beautiful oak. During the week we learned how to use and maintain several tools. After being shown how to use tools Mark allowed and expected us to use the tools independently. But he was vigilant and spotted emerging issues early, and was always available to reassure and resolve problems. I would highly recommend the course."
