Christiaan reviewed: Raise your own silver whisky tumbler, three day course

"I loved this course it was brilliant. If you're interested in raising then this is the course for you. Charlotte was patient and great at explaining the concepts. Better than that though is she took the time to walk us through each stage and then kept an eye on us to make sure we didn't mess up. Its a great way to learn and really absorb the theory as well as the practical aspects. You can't learn this from a book and this is the best way to learn it. We were also able to go at our own pace without disrupting the other person on the course. Its basically one to one tuition and well worth the money. Be prepared for a bit of a workout but nothing you won't get the hang of. Best of all Charlotte is very very experienced so able to answer all your questions. I came away with a lovely tumbler at the end. Go for it you won't regret it."

Charlotte Tollyfield Contemporary Bespoke Silverware responded:

"Thank you so much for your review Christiaan. I'm so glad you enjoyed the course and that it provided the experience you were looking for. It was an absolute pleasure to welcome you to the workshop. I hope you enjoy many a good drink from your new tumbler. Cheers!"

Lee Davies reviewed: Beginners 1-day 1-2-1 pottery / ceramics workshop for 1 person

"I had a great day. My wife bought me a one day pottery experience with Louise as I've always fancied having a go especially at throwing a pot or two. I'm so glad she did. I learnt so much but had one of the most relaxed days I've had in a long while due to the environment, the hospitality and the training style. Which clearly worked as Louise had me throwing cylinders/pots shortly after lunch! Can't wait to see what comes out of the kiln. If you have an interest and like me, have never used a potters wheel or touched a bit of clay since I was at school ( some 40 years ago ) then you won't go wrong by spending a day in the studio with Louise. Highly recommended !"

Blended Monkey - pottery - woodturning - green woodworking - pole lathe - throwing responded:

"Thanks for your lovely review Lee. It was great having you in the studio and I'm glad you felt at ease and came away having learnt a bit more about the various methods of handbuilding and throwing. You made some fab pieces!"

Miranda reviewed: Stained glass one day course for beginners: for two people

"Emma’s one day stained glass workshop for 2 is an absolute treat! My teenage daughter and I had a wonderful time. The morning was spent learning the basics. Since both of us were novices it required lots of concentration but Emma guided us every step of the way in a very relaxed manner and we had a lot of fun in the process. In the afternoon we made a 10 piece glass compilation, choosing our colours and shapes from a huge selection of stained glass. The end result was stunning and we were both delighted with it. We would thoroughly recommend this course. Emma is a great teacher and knows how to make you feel comfortable and get the best out of you! We look forward to attending another one of her classes in the future! Thanks so much Emma! Xx"

Teresa reviewed: Fused glass introduction 1/2 day at Kingcot, Worcestershire

"I took hubby to a glass fusion craft afternoon with Vicky to celebrate his 60th birthday and he loved it. He wished we’d booked a day instead of half. Vicky is so knowledgeable and informative and we learnt loads of new techniques even though hubby knows how to craft with glass and I’d done another glass fusion class. We had such a great time, and looking forward to our creations coming out of the kiln gif us to collect. Thanks so much Vicky. We would definitely recommend and we will be booking to do the stained glass course soon ?"

Kingcot Gallery responded:

"Thank you so much for your kind words - always good to hear! Glad hubby enjoyed the day - and he definitely isn't 'cack-handed'!"
