"I booked this course for myself and my husband for his birthday and we both had such a great day! The instructors are patient and knowledgeable and clearly have years of experience. Everyone was really down to earth and encouraging. Found it a little difficult to find the place so was a little late starting but there were no issues with this and we got through making a knife each throughout the day. As someone who values experienced over things, I cannot recommend this highly enough. Great day out to experience something new with a memorable item to bring home with you! Just a bit of advice for anyone booking, make sure to dress warm if you are going in winter! It can get a little cold in the workshop when not stood directly next to the fire. All in all I'm completely happy with the day and would definitely come back in the future!"

"I received a gift voucher from my partners mum for Christmas to go to a jewellery making workshop with Sheila. The whole workshop was great. Sheila is very knowledgable and patient with you. She made the morning very relaxing and is easy to talk with. I throughly enjoyed making my own silver ring which is beautiful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to do something different and get their creative juices flowing! "

"What a superb day I had. A course to enjoy for anyone, regardless of background, age or experience. Aaron is a fount of knowledge and experience, and very welcoming. You can't fail to have a good time casting yourself to the role of a blacksmith. I could easily get hooked on this as a hobby, just need to persuade the other half to let me buy a furnace, anvil, some tools, .......!! ;o)"

"Had a great time in Phil's introductory maille workshop - a very patient and clear teacher. Both he and partner Ashlea are incredibly kind and generous with their time. Great tactile experience with some satisfying examples of the maille making process to take home. Would highly recommend as something different to try or for a glimpse into how people of the past made armour!"

"I did the 1-day furniture-making and cabinetry beginners course with Jake and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. I didn't have any experience going into it so there was a lot to get through but Jake provided really clear explanations, instructions and demonstrations so it never felt rushed. It was a very relaxed day and thanks to Jake's excellent teaching I ended up with new knowledge, skills and confidence, as well a piece of furniture that I'm really proud of."

The studio was bright, clean, and well-equipped, creating a comfortable and inspiring environment. I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and look forward to attending more in the future! "

"The second time I have visited Jo’s hare sculpture workshop day, the first with a friend, the second with my mum, what a wonderful day with an incredible facilitator as Jo calls herself. Jo is so much more than that, a truly lovely, kind and inspiring lady who really cares everyone comes away with a sculpture that is the very best of their creative self. Jo and her husband give you a very warm welcome into their home and studio, along with their two very friendly dogs. It’s natural to have some reservations about the day, especially if you have never attempted any sculpture work or anything particularly creative in the past but these reservations quickly disappear with Jo’s friendly and fun tuition. I would highly recommend a day creating a hare sculpture with Jo in her peaceful and inspiring studio. "
