Sam reviewed: Blacksmithing Introduction courses in Yorkshire and the North East

"Thank you for a lovely day. The atmosphere was relaxed and calm. It started with a brew and biscuits, brief intro and the best and shortest safety talk I have had. The demonstrations were quick and broken down into simple processes then off to the anvils and fires to get started. It was a no fuss well timed series of exercises. Support always on hand with tips and hints to keep you on track. We became a chatty group over a fabulous lunch that catered for even the biggest appetites. The techniques were repeated in the afternoon to make larger products building on our prior knowledge. Finishing with a lovely brew and huge slabs of cake. Definitely recommend."

Bill Taylor reviewed: Woodturning Experience Days - Come and spend a day turning your first bowl

"Epic day... First class experience. Made to feel at home as you step in the door. Stephen has a wonderful relaxed manner, very easy to get on with and he has a great eye for detail. After a demo of what you are about to try he allows you to practise, without hovering over your shoulder. Could not recommend this enough, I will be heading back for some more. I also would endorse the experience 100%"

Wendy Whitter reviewed: Learn to turn in Snowdonia, North Wales - Full day

"Had the best day ever, Les is a great teacher and excellent at explaining everything. Which was very reassuring as I have never done wood turning before, so if anyone's thinking that they may like to give it a go, it's well worth your time. His one to one tutoring is perfect, so patient and good company. Walked back to the Old Workhouse B&B with a big smile on my face and a beautiful lamp base and bowl in my hands plus a little gift from Les. The day after we went to a craft village, there was a shop selling hand made wood things, and by the door there was a basket with lumps of wood for sale. A big piece of bog oak caught my eye. I have not stopped thinking of it since, wish I had bought it. I think I might be booking again. Thank you Les and it was lovely meeting your wife"

Pren responded:

"Thank you so much Wendy, we thoroughly enjoyed your company at the workshop and we're delighted that you enjoyed your day so much. Kind regards, Les."

Sarah reviewed: Life Drawing - Worthing West Sussex

"As I live in Littlehampton I always look out for Tricia's courses. She is such a wonderful teacher and so patient. Her style of teaching suits me really well. She isn't a follow along, step by step teacher, she inspires, encourages and pushes me to explore my own abilities. This life drawing course didn't disappoint. With her usual good humour she encouraged me to try measuring, observing and sketching from the model. I've always wanted to try this and I'm hooked. It was an exhausting day and I learnt so much. I'll be back next month for more!"

Art with Tricia responded:

"Sarah, Thank you for a lovely review, I'm so glad you enjoyed the Life Drawing day and I look forward to seeing on the next one."

Sarah reviewed: Saturday Art Club in West Worthing

"I love this club! It is an open workshop where the tutor Tricia is always ready to give me support with my project. I know I can take anything I'm working on and Tricia will be able to help me. She's so patient and knowledgeable. This month we also had the option to try Chinese Brush Painting. What a joy! We can even make requests for a specific demonstration or taster for next month. If you don't want a taught course, but would like some help or to chat with some lovely friendly Arty people then this is the course for you. I can book up when I need help, but now it's my monthly treat!"

Art with Tricia responded:

"Sarah, thank you s much for the lovely review. I'm glad your enjoying Saturday Art Club. I loved your Chinese Brush Paintings last week and I'm glad you are enjoying meeting other local Artists like yourself. :-) Don't forget, just email me to request the topic, medium or technique you would like to try next month."

Jacinta reviewed: Needle felt workshop

"I had a lovely morning learning needle felting with Yvonne. She is a really good teacher; she explained each stage of the process really well, was very encouraging and didn't rush us to finish. She was happy for the course to run over the expected finish time, so that we all completed our squirrels and were happy with what we made. I am now inspired to dig out the half finished needle-felting kit I gave up on some time ago. Doing a course with a good teacher really helps you learn a skill and you have someone to help you if you are unsure of how to do something. Thank you Yvonne and CraftCourses"

Needle Felt Art responded:

"Thank you so much Jacinta for such a thorough and positive review. I am so pleased you are now confident to felt your Gloucestershire Old Spot. It was fun felting with you, hope to see you again, Yvonne. "

"Thoroughly enjoyed my workshop and love the bag we made. Great teacher and so easy to chat to. So glad she had some spare reading glasses too as I realised I’d left mine at home! Helen Swain reviewed: Introduction to Ecoprinting

"This was a thoroughly enjoyable course. We packed so much into the 6 hours and learned lots of different printing techniques on various surfaces and fabrics. Fiona provided a clear and easy to follow step by step explanation for each technique and showed us what we could use to carry on ecoprinting ourselves at home if we wanted. No previous crafting or artistic experience was needed. The location was perfect with the tables well spaced and apart from the items Fiona asked us to bring, everything else was provided including a delicious lemon drizzle cake. Highly recommended."

Earthwise Ecoprints responded:

"Thank you for your lovely review Helen. It was lovely to meet you last Saturday and work with such a brilliant group. So pleased you enjoyed Ecoprinting- it is very addictive! Fiona x"

Fab two days and Colin and Paul the instructors were, knowledgeable, pleasant and approachable. Highly recommended if you are interested in dry stone walls."

Pauline Upsall reviewed: Felt Lampshades

"With Emma's patience and expertise, I came away with a rather fabulous lampshade that has pride of place in the bedroom. Her knowledge of natural breeds is vast so can advise on which wool would be most suitable depending on how much light and the pattern you require. Would definitely recommend this course for all felting abilities."

Emma Jackson (Silversoles - Felted Textiles) responded:

"Thank you for your feedback Pauline, so pleased you enjoy the workshop and are so happy with your lampshade, it is beautiful."
