Stephanie Heath reviewed: Knitting workshops in Leeds City Centre

"What a fab way to spend the afternoon, transfixed with knitting and with the great company of Ann! I bought the course tickets for my husband who expressed an interest to learn to knit and Ann’s 2 hour session was the perfect amount of time to learn the basics and fill us with confidence to go away and conquer patterns. Thanks so much Ann for your time, patience and for sharing your amazing knitting knowledge :)"

Patricia reviewed: Container candlemaking course and wax melts with afternoon tea

"Loved this class. Julie supplied everything we needed to make beautiful candles and melts, including dried flowers, glitter and scents. Had a lovely, relaxed few hours and copious amounts of tea (we were all tea bellies) from Jane (Julie's lovely assistant). Lunch was a lovely picnic box which included sandwiches, cake, savoury biscuits, yogurts, fresh fruit and fruit tarlets plus bottled water..... and more tea!! Would definitely recommend this course, not just for those wishing to start their own business but also those of us that just want to create candles and melts for family and friends - and ourselves."

Graham Parsons reviewed: Stained glass garden panel workshop - Hampshire

"From Rachel’s relaxed and supportive style to the quality of our finished colourful garden panel, I could not fault this experience! The first part teaches you the basic techniques of cutting leaf and glass. Then the creative part kicks in. An array of coloured and textured glass is available to choose from and Rachel is on hand with help and advice if you want it. Everyone leaves with a stunning robustly made finished piece which will last outside for years. I thoroughly recommend!"

Jenny reviewed: Glass fusing class - powders and enamels

"Sarah was very welcoming, accessible and professional at the Glass fusion with Enamels and Powders workshop. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and came away feeling I had learned so much and accomplished something. She met us at the level we were at, then encouraged us throughout to be creative on our own yet giving us assistance whenever we asked for it. The group was small enough to easily chat with each other and share ideas. Great fun. May 2022"

Joanne reviewed: Full. Making a star gazy needle felt hare

"What a super workshop in a lovely setting. I hadn't done any needle felting before but Annis was very helpful and supportive. I didn't quite finish my hare as there is a lot to do during the day but I was really surprised that the workshop kit was ours to take home. This meant that I was able to take my time and finish off all the small details and I am really pleased with the finished hare. Thank you Shirley and Annis."

Abi reviewed: Sculpture in stone for beginners in Somerset - 3 day stone carving course with sculptor Kate Semple

"My partner and I attended Kate’s 3 day course in early May. My career has been in education, art and design, so I’m one of those horribly difficult people to please. However, Kate’s style is fantastic. She gets you going as if by magic. Her lovely style, both relaxed with the right amount of challenge, saw us complete our sculptures on time - and our final pieces were something to be proud of. The other people on the course were great! Interesting, fun and friendly. Thank-you Kate! A brilliant memory."

Ian [from Lancaster] reviewed: Kitchen Knife Course

"Attended early May 2022, had a fantastic day. Dave is very knowledgeable, patient, skilful and a great teacher. During the day I got to shape a kitchen knife blade, harden it in a forge and cool in oil, grind the bevel edge, choose the wooden handle scales, shape them and secure to the blade, polish the handle and sharpen the blade. I left having learnt so much about blade-smithing and how to look after and sharpen kitchen knives, plus I have a beautiful kitchen knife that is razor sharp and will be in my family for many generations to come. thank you Dave for a wonderful day and making me feel so welcome."

Hand forged Yorkshire responded:

"Many thanks for taking the time to write such a fantastic review Ian, massively appreciate it thank you very much. Brilliant to meet you and have you in the forge, you did a cracking job with your knife well done. Kindest regards Dave"
