ChrisE reviewed: Bowl turning pole lathe at Greenwood Days

"Had a really lovely day on this course. Great location in the woods, especially on a hot day. Ade, the tutor, had a real passion for the subject and really knew his stuff. Made it look so easy but it was pretty mind bending trying to get the right bit of the chisel cutting. Completed a reasonable bowl, well it will hold cornflakes what more can you demand of a bowl! I would definitely recommend this for anyone wanting an intro to pole lathing."

"I attended the small leather items course and learnt a great deal in a short space of time. Richard is an excellent tutor and explained everything really well. This was my first introduction into working with leather and I enjoyed it so much both the process and also the final small leather cardholder which I took home with me. I hope to attend other courses in the future, thanks to Richard. "

Ann and Beccy reviewed: One day silver pendant and earring workshop

"Booked this worship as “special birthday” present for my daughter. We had a wonderful day . Jolene gave a full demonstration of all the techniques we would be use ins and then provided ongoing ideas, support and guidance throughout the day along with plenty of refreshments. The day went so quickly. We were thrilled with the quality of our necklaces and earrings we produced from our somewhat sketchy ideas and would now love to make more! One small thing is to mention is that there is a steep flight of steps to reach the workshop. There are strong handrails but some may find it difficult to access. Thankyou for a lovely memorable day Jolene "

Steve Kerby reviewed: One day bangle/ring workshop

"I purchased this course as a birthday gift for my wife, but due to unforseen circumstances I needed to rearrange the date. Jolene was very accommodating with this and messaged back the same day with the dates we asked for. What can we say about the course. It was everything and more that we could have asked for. Just myself and my wife were the only participants which made if feel very personal. Jolene is an exceptional teacher and demonstrated every aspect of the processes clearly and with patience. Jolene's knowledge and design ideas were wonderful and gave us inspiration for the rings and bangles that we made. The quaint studio has many pieces that also gave inspiration and we spent a long time looking at the bespoke items. We came away with 2 bangles and 3 rings and with Jolene's help with the soldering they are all individual. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits on offer and we came away with happy memories and beautiful keepsakes. I would definitely recommend Jolene's course and thank her for her wonderful hospitality and when we are able to we will definitely book again."
