Alice reviewed: Glass Fusing Workshop, half day

"My partner, my mum and I had a wonderful half-day session with Penny! We'd never done glass fusing before so weren't sure what to expect but Penny was very helpful and reassuring. We made some fabulous things during the session and Penny kept just the right balance between helping us come up with ideas and supporting our own creativity. Have just brought our creations home and I'm looking forward to putting them up in the house somewhere to admire... :) Would highly recommend giving this a go!"

Through the Arch - Fused Glass responded:

"Thank you for your kind review. You were all very talented and creative, learning the skills very fast indeed. It was delightful working with you. Thank you"

Lindsay Simpkins reviewed: Lampshade Making Workshop with Clare Cosens

"Clare’s class was quite small so she was able to be hands on for helping everyone and giving them tips on how to get a professional finish. She clearly explained the process one step at a time so she didn’t overload you with information at the start. It was a fun way to spend a couple of hours and I was thrilled and very surprised at how well my lampshade turned out. Would highly recommend her as a tutor. 😊"

Clare Cosens Designs responded:

"Thank you for taking the time to leave a lovely review. I'm really pleased that you enjoyed the workshop. Your lampshade looked fantastic, such a gorgeous fabric choice."

Fiona reviewed: Whittling Beginner Workshop

"This was a thoroughly enjoyable day, very relaxing, calming and absorbing, with friendly people, ranging from complete beginners to those with some experience. Pete and Jacqui provided very clear instruction and guidance in different ways to work with the knife and wood, for different cuts and shapes of the items we carved. They were quick to spot when any of us weren't holding the knife or wood in the safest way, even while they were helping another person. Jacqui was so helpful in offering advice and starting me off on a little personal project I plan to continue with. I've already put my coffee bag 'closer' to use; my husband has called it The Beak as it resembles a pelican's beak!"

Rebecca Anderson reviewed: Introduction to Botanical Relief Workshop

"I bought this course for my mother as a confidence and wellness boost - she has always been very crafty but tends to not put herself out there. Janet was excellent - encouraging, very knowledgeable and took pains to understand what my Mum could get out of the workshop. The atmosphere was very calm and relaxed, with Janet keeping to my Mum’s speed and comfort level whilst also supporting her to produce something she could be proud of. Janet’s wealth of knowledge within the specialism is obvious and it is clear to see how she adapts her course for the customer and their needs. Thank you!"

Step in the Picture responded:

"Thank you so much for such a lovely review Rebecca. It was wonderful to spend the morning with your Mum, and the cast she created was really beautiful. I am glad to hear your Mum felt comfortable and enjoyed the workshop. It was a real pleasure to teach her the craft."

Caroline Pryer reviewed: Blacksmithing Beginners Day

"Two daughters-in-law came with me for a pre-Christmas girlie workshop and had a great time. We all made knives from a wee craft knife to a forest crafting knife for gardening. Lots of 'hard' learning but so very enjoyable amid the forge, fire craft, plunging in oil, toughening steel, sanding, power drilling, buffing and sharpening. Very proud of our achievements and so intensely grateful to Alex for his superb teaching skills, leadership, patience, understanding and downright superbness. A very exciting day and thrilled to have learned something so new!"

Sue reviewed: Sea Glass Picture Workshop

"I bought this course for my sister in law for xmas. She doesn't need 'things' and loves anything to do with crafts. She says Rebecca was very welcoming, knowledgable on materials used and most importantly took things at the groups pace. Rebecca was always positive and made great suggestions. Overall she had a very relaxing and enjoyable morning. I saw the resulting sea glass picture and would have it hanging in my home any day. "
