David reviewed: Beginners' pastel painting workshop at fabulous Glasfryn Hall, North East Wales

"Having done a bit of watercolour painting in the past I thought I would try pastel painting. I'm so glad I attended the Workshop at Glasfryn because it was excellent. Dave explained the techniques clearly and simply and took us through the process of creating a painting. Lovely and relaxing location and great value for money. I'm really looking forward to attending an Intermediate Workshop at Glasfryn later in the year. In the meantime, having been inspired by Dave, I'll continue to do more painting in pastels."

Oriel Glasfryn Gallery Limited responded:

"Thank you for coming to the workshop, David, and for leaving this lovely review. I'm glad you've been inspired to take up pastelling - another convert! Dave"

Julie reviewed: Shoemaking workshop

"Kate knows her stuff and takes you through all the processes needed to make a shoe with clarity and patience. I was quite slow - my skill at the handstitching of the lining to the upper left a lot to be desired, and bless her, she pitched right in to help make sure I did leave with a finished pair at the end of the day. Thanks Kate."

Beckie Howson reviewed: Full day beginners silver clay- Woodland botanical pendants

"I really wanted to try silver metal clay and this course covered all the elements. Rebecca is a true professional and is an inspirational guide to the medium. From mould making, texturing, stone setting, working with the clay and sintering, she knows how to get the result her students need. I had a specific design in mind and she took me through, step by step, to ensure I came out of the day with the piece of my dreams! I cannot recommend her highly enough, and am so glad I took a course rather than using online resources- trust me you save money by avoiding pitfalls / mistakes!"

"Tejal was amazing, she makes you so comfortable with her class. I never realised how much I would enjoy the class. She taught us the basics and I can now go onto making my own items. Tejal was also very patient with me. She corrected my errors and showed me different ways of doing a task. I enjoyed my time learning a new skill and I would highly recommend her classes. Her experience shows through her demonstrations and I look forward to coming back again. She took a person who has low self confidence and gave them a gift of creativity. "

Michael O’Connor reviewed: Acrylic Pour Bathboard Workshop

"I really enjoyed this acrylic pour workshop. Our tutor, Shelley, was warm and welcoming and enthusiastic. She explained and demonstrated the whole process at an easy pace for everyone to follow. There was enough time for questions and for individual guidance and attention as we each got on with our work. The venue was ideal, with good access, plenty of space and all the facilities we needed, including the essential tea/coffee and biscuits! We were all amazed and delighted with the final results we achieved on the day and left with enough confidence to do it for ourselves at home should we so wish. I would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone wondering if they should give it a go. Just do it!"

The Acrylic House responded:

"Oh my word thanks so much Michael for this fabulous review. I cant wait to see how your board has dried I'm back there tomorrow and I will update you with a pic! Hopefully I will see you on another workshop. Best wishes Shelly x"
