Meryl & Esther reviewed: Glass fusing private class - fun taster class for beginners

"My daughter and I decided to join Sarah for a reflective morning. We are coming to terms with the loss of a dear husband and father and we made very special pieces using a small amount of his ashes. Our pendants, ring and other items are wonderful, very subtle. So intimate, rather than sending away to someone else to make. Thank you "

Sarah Greening Glass responded:

"It was lovely to meet you both and a privilege to help you make your special pieces. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review, much appreciated."

Antony reviewed: Blacksmithing Introduction courses in Yorkshire and the North East

"This was an excellent day, Adrian and Andy were superb with sharing their knowledge and helping us work our ways through making a key ring and a dragon headed coat rack with 3 hooks. There were was plenty of space, time and equipment for all 9 of the students on the course and everyone completed their crafts. Home baked snacks on arrival, a huge home made veggie lunch and more goodies at the end of the session topped off a really wonderful experience."

Ann Saunders reviewed: Needle Felting Workshop - landscape pictures

"My son, his partner and I had a great creative morning making the felt landscapes. Pip had everything ready and organised for us and took us through the techniques step by step. Even our practice piece was good enough to frame!! We came away with 2 framed landscape pictures we each had created. I plan to buy some felts and tools now to incorporate felting into the cards I make. Thank you for your time and patience Pip. "

Carolyn Fenn reviewed: Training course in upcycling with pallets for beginners in Somerset: two days

"What a great 2 days of learning how to upcycle pallets. Through Scott and Sue’s incredible patience I learnt to use many power tools efficiently in order to build a multi-purpose box, AND I learnt different painting/oiling/waxing/burning techniques whilst making a jewellery hanging shelf. It is a brilliant course, not only informative but confidence building. I can’t wait to get started at home now. Highly recommended. "

Kim & Ilias reviewed: Spoon Carving - Sloyd Workshop

"What a great workshop! From beginning to end, thoroughly enjoyed every minute! Max is a great teacher, guiding us through each step of spoon carving with heaps of knowledge, kindness and patience, especially as we’ve never done any form of carving before. The workshop space is tranquil, the food was delicious and super happy with our spoon and spatuloon 😂. Both me and my husband had a fantastic time and would highly recommend. To say this workshop is good value for money is an understatement! Honestly can't thank Max enough for a great day, a great experience, and a great first dip into wood carving, leaving us wanting to do more."

"Thanks Jo and Andy I loved the 2 day workshop. We had so much fun and I came home with my abstract horse which I am very pleased with. This is the third workshop I have been on and have had such a great time at every one. You get just as much help as you want or need so I have more booked. The atmosphere is so good and refreshing. "This was an excellent course which I thoroughly enjoyed and learnt a lot from. It was well structured, starting with all the safety issues, going on to the setting up of a piece on the lathe and then looking at the various techniques of using chisels. Paul is a good communicator and explains things in a clear way. During the practical work he kept a close eye on each participant, giving advice and tips the whole time. "

Lawrence reviewed: Blacksmithing Introduction courses in Yorkshire and the North East

"What a brilliant way to spend a day !!!!! We are all used to spending our leisure time watching sport , films and many other interests. Most of them are quickly memories after the event but this day is special, YOU get to make something that will remind you of the enjoyment , and it is enjoyable believe me. Ade and Andy are class acts at helping everyone achieve a result , learn a new skill ( a bit of one) and have a few laughs. You will also be treated to some special cakes made by Debbie. A wonderful day , "I will be back" as Arnie would say."

Karen Slater reviewed: Introduction to Epoxy Resin Block Casting

"A great course. Learned about different resins and the choice of materials, I chose pinecones as they gave such an interesting finish. I used the resin block for a knife handle (the knife course was the following week). But as a stand alone artwork they are truly unique. Great course just at the right pace. Dave is a great tutor professional, knowledgeable and very patient, was a real pleasure. I thoroughly recommend this course. "

Hand forged Yorkshire responded:

Trish and Richard reviewed: Spoon carving in the woods

"This was a wonderfully calm, relaxing and mindful few hours in the woods near Reading. Amazingly patient teacher - Suz - who was very good at explaining, and helpful when needed. Hot chocolate made on open fire, beautiful bluebell woods and a variety of birds singing in the trees. Spoon has to be left a few days before sanding as it is green wood, so looking forward to the next stage. We (my husband and I) enjoyed the whole process and we left with another piece of wood to make our next spoon. Give it a go - great fun, and very mindful experience. Thank you Suz."

The Coppice Co. responded:

"Thank you Trish and Richard!"
