Helen Hallows reviewed: Product Photography & Styling E-course for people who make & sell lovely things

"I loved Lyndsey's five week online photography and styling course. It gave me the confidence I needed to use my digital camera for product shoots and some great ideas and professional tips for styling my product and developing my brand. Since I did the course, I've been able to develop the workshop side of my business and create all my own marketing with the photography skills I learnt."

Lizzy Chambers reviewed: Product Photography & Styling E-course for people who make & sell lovely things

"I have just completed the January 2016 course and it has been worth it. I had owned my own camera for over a year but didn't know with it, so I would only using my phone camera as it felt safe. Six months of support and neutering with Lyndsey in the chat room has brought me a long way. Her course covers everything from how to create your brand through your photos, knowing your customers, how to use your camera, build sets, shoot on location, using natural light and how to create expensive looking professional photos with easy home made equipment (except for the camera and tripod part!). I feel more confident in my photography and I'm planning and photographing my next photo-shoot myself!"

Juliette Scott reviewed: Product Photography & Styling E-course for people who make & sell lovely things

"I have just completed this truly amazing course. I signed up back in January and it has been such a pleasurable six months working through the tasks and assignments, reading the incredibly useful information, and watching the online tutorials. I had no idea that so much could be achieved with natural light and I loved learning all the 'tricks of the trade'. I am excited to put what I have learnt into practice. I felt that the course was good value for money as Lyndsay was so generous with sharing her knowledge. I am sad that the course is now over but utterly delighted to have worked through it."

Katherine Mardle reviewed: One day leather bag making workshop

"This course was excellent. I'd strongly recommend it if you want to have some fun and feel rewarded whilst making something with leather, which actually looks pretty good as a finished product (I was proud of mine, even though I've never done anything like this before). It would have been fun with a few friends too, and Rosanna was a great teacher and gave me extra help when I needed it."

Chris Ennion reviewed: Blacksmithing one-to-one North West UK

"Colin is an excellent teacher and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him and here is why... He is clear & concise in what he wants you to achieve, he will give you a demonstration but then he is then relaxed enough to let you crack on and have a real go at it, you will make mistakes but he will then show you how you went wrong and how to fix those exactly the way he would on his own work, an invaluable part of the learning experience in my opinion given even the most experienced blacksmiths make mistakes, no stress whatsoever. In terms of the equipment on hand, he has everything you could want. You have your own work space & tools for starts so you don't feel like you are treading on his toes by working away on a piece for too long. He has both gas and fire forges in the workshop and you will use both depending on what you are doing (I understand a good number of smiths tend to use only one depending on their preference), he also has various more modern machines to have a go with i.e. power hammers so your experience really will cover all bases. One big thing to mention that may be overlooked, Colin's passion is in tool making so he has a tool for nearly everything you could think of, most of which he has made so they work with his existing kit perfectly, I barely scratched the surface with what he had available and even I can't remember all the bits and pieces I used. All in all I really can't fault Colin or his workshop, a great guy and an even better teacher. I will undoubtedly use him again... Get him booked!"

Sue Morgan Williams reviewed: One inspiring day of mono printing from nature in artists studio near York

"I had a wonderful day. The instruction was very clear and I was able to experiment myself with making collograph plates. I had no idea how they would turn out so when it came to printing them I realised how I might have done things differently, so now I have some prints I am very pleased with and I am very keen to do more so I can play with my new ideas. The atmosphere was relaxed and the feedback from the tutor and other participants was always encouraging!"

June Barker reviewed: One inspiring day of mono printing from nature in artists studio near York

"I attended an extension of the collagraph course - I felt I needed a push onto the next level and boy was I pushed. Emily's motto when asked "what will happen if" was always " lets try it" and that gave me the confidence to open my mind to the " What If" syndrome and not to be frightened of trying new things. I left with a large amount of prints , a feeling of a new thing learnt and I had a great day with an excellent and very friendly tutor. I feel more courses coming on!!!"

Jenny reviewed: Beginner’s Soapmaking Workshop in Salisbury

"I did Catherine's soap making course and I thought it was really good. Catherine managed to pack so much information into the session, gave a good demonstration and provided us with lots of choice for recipes. Catherine was always on hand to guide us through each stage and answer our questions and was generous with the raw materials. We each managed to make two diffent batches of soap to take away with us, which was amazing. We also have the knowledge basis from which to have ago at home. Can't wait for my soaps to cure as I am really looking forward to trying them out."

June Aitken reviewed: Needle-felting course with FURZIE - Forge Mill Needle Museum, Redditch

"I attended this course and had a superb day learning a new craft. Michelle was a great teacher putting everyone at ease, at no time did I feel rushed or ignored. Michelle was there to answer any questions and step in if anyone got stuck on their next move. I would thoroughly recommend this course to everyone. The only downside is that I now have to find some room for my new craft supplies !"

Sue Heath reviewed: One inspiring day of mono printing from nature in artists studio near York

"The day was full of information and fun! I experienced several techniques, each of which was explained fully and accurately. During the morning, I was able to set up the plates and then after lunch, the real fun began, when I saw each plate come to life in a variety of colours. Each stage was demonstrated, whether it be how to prepare the paint and paper, or how to clean the plate to re-use it. I would thoroughly recommend this one day course, but you won't want it to stop there! I get the feeling that this is just the tip of the iceberg, and there will be many more hours spent in exploring the endless, imaginative ways to put ideas on to paper."

Andrew Binnie reviewed: Carve a Rocking Horse Head Course

"A really satisfying course, executed at a steady pace, in a relaxed atmosphere. There was a perfect level of instruction, anecdotes and fun and we all learned a great deal. Having done a little woodcarving already, I still learned a lot and it was such a luxury to be able to have three days dedicated to carving, rather than finding the odd hour here and there. Those in our group who were new to carving also learned a lot and were not scared at all as Tony taught in such a positive manner. Thanks very much to Tony as I thoroughly enjoyed this course and might well be back for another."

Ruth A reviewed: Two day leather work course - bag making

"Brilliant course! Jason was so helpful, passionate about the subject and knowledgeable. It was great to come away with a handmade bag too. In two days we covered a huge range of techniques and it has given me a real interest in attempting some projects on my own. The workshop setting is lovely with loads of equipment and throughout it all Jason (and Louise) were so helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back. Great value for money too. Thanks a lot."

"I really enjoyed what was a fabulous day of learning, coached by an expert with a relaxed, natural and supportive style, all within an inspirational space... Hope House Press - Liz Weston - Cambridge reviewed: Capturing pretty Flat Lay photos - perfect for Instagram and Product Photography

"I attended this course with Lyndsey and really did learn so much from it. To make the most of it, I recommend you have a google of what flat lay photography is first, and get yourself and your props ready. I think you want to take a tripod and make sure you have a camera - not your iphone. I took just my iphone and did get some good images, but wish I'd had more confidence and taken my proper camera. I may well re do the course, to get some more help with taking photos using the camera and learn more about how to diffuse the light. I'll also take more of my own products so that I can make the most of the resources that Lyndsey brings - she really does bring tables full of things to use as props that I would never have originally looked at. And as an aside, the food was great! There was lots of food and it was very yummy indeed. So many options on drinks and snacks and cakes. It really did feel like our every need was catered for. Loved it."

Sue Chapman reviewed: Intermediary Glass fusing workshop with Laura Hart of Hart Glass

"Have just completed a 2 day fusing course, and wished I'd booked for 3 ! I thoroughly enjoyed every moment and have learnt loads. Laura is a very patient individual whose calm manner helps quieten any nerves as she shows you how to refine your work. I have discovered the value of cold working which can only improve the quality of my work. Thanks again Laura. I would highly recommend this course as it gives you the flexability to try your own ideas with back up when needed with the guidance of Laura."

Katy Widdowson reviewed: Capturing pretty Flat Lay photos - perfect for Instagram and Product Photography

"This course was simply fantastic, I wonderful day spent with like minded people. It certainly didn't feel like work, it felt like therapy for the soul. Lyndsey is an inspiring tutor and I came away with so many ideas for using my flat lay photography skills. The whole atmosphere of the workshops was a breathe of fresh air, from the location to the food provided everything was just seamless. I could do with a day like that once a month to recharge my creative batteries."

Elaine hughes reviewed: One to one, One day, blacksmith course

"I attended the day with my partner and son. Alex could not have been more helpful or friendly. I was making a kinetic sculpture for my final project at college for which I obtained a distinction and Alex's help was invaluable. The setting for the course is beautiful ,we had a taste-vin lunch included in the cost overall we all had a brilliant day . My 20 year old son enjoyed it so much that he intends to go back and do a longer course. I would recommend this course to any one who wanted to try something different ."

Jo Morgan reviewed: One day upholstery with Mick Sheridan in West Wales

"A thoroughly enjoyable day spent learning a new skill. A lovely relaxed setting added to the overall enjoyment. Delicious food at the Pizza Tipi, somewhere I will definitely be visiting again. Clear instructions with plenty of time for questions resulted in a really impressive upholstered stool which I love!"

Alison Evans reviewed: One day upholstery with Mick Sheridan in West Wales

"Had a great day feeling fully immersed and learning a completely new skill. Covering the stool was straightforward enough to be doable, but still a really satisfying process explained very clearly. I'm very proud of what I achieved. The location was beautiful and refreshments flowed freely all day: fresh pizza for lunch was delicious. A really well-organised, well-run course which has inspired me to try a bit more upholstering!"
