"• FUN • EDUCATIONAL • RELAXING • Enjoy a brew, listen to the radio & go at your pace, Rosanna is there to help & guide, a patient teacher with a passion to teach novices all things "crafty"! We done it as a pair, however it would be a great activity for groups or corporate days. Thanks for a great day! Worth the 2hr drive APG"

Mary Anne Robbins reviewed: Group Soap-making Workshop - Soapology Studio - Nottinghamshire

"Had a wonderful day with Emma on her soap making course, this is something I have been wanting to do for years! She gave us a excellent hand out & talked us through it explaining all the science & calculations while still keeping our interest. After all the theory, cake & lunch we got down to the actual making of soap. With help & guidance from Emma we all made 3 batches of soap, giving us the opportunity to try different colours, essential oils & effects. I would recommend this course to budding soap makers & as well as people who just want to have a fun day trying out a new craft. Emma also runs more advanced courses, which I will be back to learn some more."

Paul McGowran reviewed: Blacksmith forgework Learning Experience Day

"Jules and I had a fabulous day with Robin, Darren and Susan. Robin & Darren are masters of their craft and Susan is a master at looking after people. Watching our idea taking shape from a single rod of steel was amazing. Getting the opportunity to be hands on and fashion the hot metal ourselves was fantastic. Thanks guys, we will be back!"

Beverley and Mark Warwick reviewed: Blacksmith forgework Learning Experience Day

"The whole day was so much better than we expected. We were the only two on the course and the day started with a cup of tea and a chat about we wanted to make. Our ideas soon developed into a project for a beer bottle/wine bottle or glass holder on a spike for the garden, plus a poker for our log burner. Daren came up with an ingenious design for the beer glass holder and Robin measured all types and sizes of glasses and bottles to a make it the correct size. We learnt about how the hot metal had to be worked to make lovely twists and twirls. Anyone could do this, don't be afraid to give it a try. We can't wait to go back again for another superb day with the wonderful guys at Cowpe and Robin's lovely wife Sue who looked after us so well."

Jayne reviewed: Art & Craft Days - Make a Willow Basket in a Day

"Yesterday I attended the willow basket weaving workshop here with Deb Hart. It was really good fun and everyone managed to produce a basket! This is the second workshop I have done here with Deb and both have been lovely experiences. Brian and Julie provide a warm and welcoming venue with an excellent and plentiful supply of food and beverages. My gluten free diet was no problem at all. Deb's teaching was inclusive and cheerful and when any of the group needed help she was there to get us on track again. Thank you all for a fun and productive day. I will be back. X Jayne"

Ceri Shackleton reviewed: Enamelling on copper

"Our workshop with Dilys was a fantastically rewarding day. The perfect mix of being relaxing yet exciting at the same time! With no previous experience of enamelling I was surprised with the amount of craft we left with, feeling very proud of our efforts. Dilys is the perfect teacher, calm, gentle and evidently passionate about her art. Her studio is welcoming, homely and the perfect venue to feel you are receiving 1st rate tutorage. Highly recommended."

Beva reviewed: Straw skep hive making course - with Bees for Development

"Not only did the course provide a rounded practical hands on approach to Skep making it also included Chris a Master Skep Maker and his boundless knowledge of all things "Bee". So even if my Skep was not shaping up to be the exactly what was intended there was plenty of advice and riveting commentary to absorb. A very motivational day."

Rachel Vestey reviewed: Woodturning in Devon with Colin Simpson

"I've just read through most of the reviews left by others and they all concur that Colin is a really good patient teacher. And that the day went far too quickly. I visited last week with my partner for a day of novice bowl making and spindle turning. We came away with two lovely bowls and a huge amount of confidence. Colin is obviously a very experienced teacher. He is so gentle and never makes you feel you are making a horlicks of it, even when it looks like you are. His wife, Skye, is lovely too and she prepared us a delicious lunch. It was a fabulous day and we are so proud of our handiwork. Thanks Colin."
