Kerri reviewed: Hygge Christmas craft workshop at Hautbois Hall

"My friend and I did the Christmas Craft Workshop yesterday, It was the loveliest day I’ve had in a long time, relaxed with so many interesting and fun things to do, we left with lots of craft we had made ourselves that were unique. The people that did the classes were such a nice bunch of ladies, as were the crafty ladies that I met there. I am a celiac and they catered for me to such a high standard I was touched by the effort to look after me, so if I could give them an above excellent I would. If you want to have a fun day, in a relaxed atmosphere, with lovely people who know their stuff, this is for you."

Norfolk Crafts Workshop responded:

"Thank you so much for your amazing review Kerri. We had a wonderful time crafting with you and are so glad you enjoyed it too."

David Batch reviewed: Blacksmithing experience - spend a day in the forge

"I spent a fantastic day at Red Anvil School of blacksmithing. The day started with a friendly welcome from Richard. The day was structured and very hands on. Both Richard and Will were there to guide us but you were on the tools actually making something. The other students were excellent company and from a varied background. Lunch was enjoyed at the local pub. At the end of the day I left with a poppy hand forged by me and a head full of wonderful memories of the day. I thoroughly recommend this experience whatever you ability. Thanks David"

Jackie reviewed: Festive Introduction to copper foiling - with Justine Buckland

"Absolutely brilliant. A nice progressive class structure on how to prepare the pieces of glass for the desired end piece; to the copper foiling; and then soldering to the final construction. Lots of support and guidance throughout the day and everything needed was provided. I was amazed as a first timer how much I was able to achieve and am highly encouraged by my end product of a flower. The Andover Museum facilities were great. Ample free parking; a good open & comfortable meeting room, and tea and biscuits available all the time. I certainly look forward to more courses with Justine and hope very much these will be at the Andover Museum."

Sarah reviewed: Drawing for Beginners - Nottingham Trent University

"I went into this course slightly nervous having not drawn properly since school …. 34 years ago. I’ve come out of the course with confidence, a love of drawing again and a feeling of it does not matter what you do or how it looks at the end of the day it is fun, relaxing, thought provoking and interesting. Chris immediately put us at ease. He encouraged, made us laugh, the group bonded because of it and at the end of the last session we were all extremely sad to finish and ended up in the pub! I can’t recommend NTU and this short course enough. Chris was a fantastic teacher. What do I do now on a Monday evening??"

Jake Brooks reviewed: Kate Morrell willow sculpture courses

"My mum booked me on one of Kate’s willow sculpture courses for my birthday. I had a fantastic day learning to weave, there were several other people on the course that had a bit more experience which worried me, but Kate explained everything and I ended up being over the moon with my sculpture! I would highly recommend any course ran by Kate, she’s very easy to get along with and a great host. The food at lunch was delicious and there was plenty of it. I’ll definitely be back."

Nicola Matthews reviewed: "Sparkle & Shine": beginner mosaic workshops with Joss Hughes, Peacock Mosaics

"I am new to mosaic and found this introduction very enjoyable. Joss explained tools and techniques and then we were given the opportunity to be creative and design and make our own pieces. There are plenty of resources in the way of books and Joss's own work to inspire, and of course Joss on hand to guide where necessary. I enjoyed it so much that I am now about to create some Christmas inspired mosaic pieces and hope to continue with this medium in the future."

Peacock Mosaics responded:

"Hi Nicola! How great that you are inspired to make Christmas themed mosaics. Thanks for the fab review. Merry Christmas!"
