"Great course. A very interesting day that has given me greater confidence to use my router, and to understand not only its potential but also its limitations. We also learned the advantages and disadvantages of different types of routers and different techniques through demonstration and hands-on experience. An added bonus was some excellent tips on care of hand tools."

Marian Simpson reviewed: Beginners spoon carving course

"What a lovely way to spend the day. Thanks to Steve, the day was interesting, informative, stimulating, challenging but above all fun. I was a complete beginner and also quite 'special' requiring some extra guidance at times. Steve was clear with the instructions at each stage which helped to allay any fears I had concerning the use of such sharp saws, axes and knives!! There was a really friendly, pleasant atmosphere, our group of 5 were affable and supportive, the lunch of soup and bread was tasty and tea, coffee and biscuits plentiful. I am proud of the spoon that emerged from the rough chunk of wood and really do think that I may be tempted to whittle away again in the future. Thanks Steve."

Hanna reviewed: Screen printing on glass

"Very good workshop - Jim is very knowledgeable, both in terms of preparing material for screenprinting and in making screens and applying the screens to glass. He is very organised and the workshop ran very smoothly. He is also a patient teacher and was very generous with his time and know-how. I was amazed by how many items I managed to make over the two-day period. It was both enjoyable and rewarding and it even included a scrumptious lunch!"

Ross Gooding reviewed: Pottery: term time 10 week course

"This is a fantastic course and suitable for all standards. I started going 3 years ago as a complete novice and have learnt so much from Sarah. I just keep going back! She is a fantastic and caring teacher who knows how to get the best out of her students. Her sessions do not feel like a formal lesson and are relaxed and stress free. This is my ‘ ‘me’ time in a beautiful setting with lovely people. You will not regret going to Stonehenge pottery. It is amazing!"

Michala Sales reviewed: Lino Printing Day with Oxford Linocut Workshops

"What a truly brilliant day I had! Having felt like I'd lost my printing passion for good somewhere in the depths of myself before getting there, walking into Claire's studio I immediately felt relaxed and inspired by not only all her beautiful work but the atmosphere created in such a lovely space. Claire is a brilliant tutor encouraging and patient going through each step explaining of the process and what we needed to do, giving individuals one to one time and helping us to create the best print we could. There was plenty of room, inking stations and book presses to use ourselves which made it feel like you were on your own little print journey creating colours and printing cards to your hearts content. I got home and immediately found all my old print supplies out and set about carving once more. Thank you Claire through your course and wonderful teaching you have given me the confidence to create again and to start printmaking at home. I would certainly recommend Claire's course to anyone even if you have never done anything like this before. I will no doubt be back in 2020 for another course."

Katharine Rynell reviewed: Clay sculpture workshops - Monday evening

"This term, I've been fortunate to find an occasional space on Beatrice's very popular sculpting course. This has been a fantastic, life-changing experience for me. Beatrice very quickly gets you started, and then guides you, not only in simple technique, but also in how to make your work appealing and beautiful. She never dictates to you, but offers advice from her years of being a wonderful sculptor herself. I really couldn't recommend her course enough - I have so much to learn!"

Katharine Rynell reviewed: Daventry sculpture classes for adults at the Parker E-ACT Academy

I really couldn't recommend her course enough - my only reticence comes from not wanting her to get too busy so I can still find space on her courses. I have so much to learn!"
