Janet Myers reviewed: Block print gift wrap workshop

"I had dreamed of revisiting Lino printing after doing a project in school 30 years ago. I’m so happy I attended Rachel’s course! The setting was inspiring and Rachel was a fantastic tutor, demonstrating each stage of the process and providing encouragement and feedback as we worked. I seriously didn’t want the session to end ... such a great way to learn a skill you can practise and develop at home. Thanks Rachel!"

Rachel Reynolds responded:

"Many thanks for such a lovely review Jan! I’m so glad you were able to realise your dream and get back to some Lino printing! Hope you can carry on with the skills learnt and enjoy developing more of those fab prints. Thanks for being such an enthusiastic participant, really nice to have met you and have you join us on the workshop."

Karen Macaulay reviewed: Curtain making

"I joined Denise for the one day curtain making course last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. As the only student I had Denise’s undivided attention and benefitted hugely from her wealth of experience. I hadn’t made curtains before but Denise’s calm, clear and relaxed method of teaching boosted my confidence and by the end of the day I had produced a professional looking lined curtain. I still can’t believe I made it myself (with a little help from Denise!) and am now looking forward to making curtains for my own home, armed with the skills Denise imparted as well as the notes I took on the day. Thank you again Denise, I really enjoyed the day and it was excellent value for money."

Beth Morrell reviewed: ** SPECIAL OFFER ** 10% off - Bladesmithing Experience Day - Wiltshire

"Brilliant day, lovely people. The guys were so patient and great teachers. Laid back to the point where the two power cuts due to the storm didn't phase them, they were happy to bring us back another day suitable for all but luckily power was restored. Amazing craftsmen, so skilled and clearly love what they do."

Janice reviewed: Introduction to Table Loom Weaving, Crawley Village Hall, Hampshire - Two Day Workshop

"Great workshop! What a wonderful way to spend a miserable cold, wet evening! Three hours just flew by and I felt I learnt so much, not just about weaving techniques but about the yarns and fibres we used, I was amazed at the variety and quality of materials she provided for us to use and am really keen to start sourcing some plant fibres myself! Ellie gave us confidence to start making something worthwhile within minutes of arriving and each person achieved an awful lot in the time, her encouragement and support and friendly, caring personality meant we felt able to ask her for assistance and help whilst really getting on and 'having a go' ourselves. I loved every piece of weaving art created and I can see myself enjoying my new hobby for a long time to come and stealing some ideas from my fellow weavers!"

Elka responded:

"Thank you so much for the lovely review Janice! It was a pleasure to meet you and I'm so glad you enjoyed the workshop. Happy weaving!"

Antoinette Pincott reviewed: Home Retreat: Colour for ultimate well being - discover the power of colour!

"Lucy's course provided a riches of wealth in terms of looking at colour in so many ways, to enhance wellbeing and spirit. From food to conscious focusing, from herbal and essentials oils to states of mind. Fiona’a input on clothes, makeup and presence was an additional rich layer of what was a truly uplifting day of giving back to yourself by finding ways to enhance your enjoyment of life, whether in a small or a big way. Delicious lunch in beautiful surroundings. Lucy also attracts giving and supportive fellow course attendees, whose kindness and laughter make her workshop days really special."

Gilly Mills reviewed: Introduction to container candle making half day in Henstridge near Stalbridge Dorset Somerset

"I signed up for this workshop because I buy a lot of candles and thought it might be fun to try making my own for a change. It was such a good decision - Sally is the perfect tutor and makes the workshop a truly creative and informative occasion. I would recommend it for anyone who fancies trying something a little "crafty" - no previous experience required! I came home with three gorgeous smelling candles, one in my own cup and saucer which I am thrilled to display in my bathroom."

Samantha Gale reviewed: Introduction to Table Loom Weaving, Crawley Village Hall, Hampshire - Two Day Workshop

"This course has sparked a new hobby for me, and those are rare. Ellie was clearly very knowledgeable and passionate but explained everything in a clear and easy to understand way. She even spent ten minutes cutting thread for my tassles so I wouldn't be short on weaving time. It was the perfect balance of guidance and letting me go at it, and I enjoyed it immensely. I would recommend this course to absolutely anyone interested."

Elka responded:

"Thank you so much for the lovey review Samantha. I'm so happy that you enjoyed the workshop, your piece was absolutely fantastic! Happy weaving :)"

Julie reviewed: Hand Spinning - Next Steps

"A fabulous course which is perfect for those who have attended the introduction to spinning or who are self-taught spinners who want to develop their skills and knowledge. I learned so much more about my spinning wheel, fibres, spinning, different techniques of joining and plying and washing the skeins. Gina is a fabulous teacher, answering questions and queries with easy to understand answers and provides information to take home to refer to. The homemade cakes were a fabulous half time treat too. Thank you Gina"

Richard White reviewed: Blacksmithing Introduction courses in Yorkshire and the North East

"This was an excellent course. Debbie, Adrian and Andy created and maintained a very welcoming and inclusive atmosphere throughout the day with great food and refreshments. The workshop provided plenty of space for the group with all the necessary tools and equipment readily available when needed. Adrian's initial explanations and demonstrations of the tasks were clear and concise enabling participants to get on with them, in their own time, at their own pace, with support and advice available as and when required. The first task was a really useful exercise in developing a basic understanding and experience of working with the tools and materials before moving on to apply and develop these techniques to make the second piece. In short, this was a really good day with lots of new experiences culminating in the creation of two unique pieces of work. Very enjoyable and highly recommended."

Tim Just reviewed: Spoon carving course - from log to spoon with Jeffrey Hart

"Great relaxed course. The day and activities were well thought out and whilst seemingly out of order the logic of not handing everybody a log and an axe in the first 10 mins was pretty sound! The days' plan also allowed for everybody to work at their own pace to produce one or two spoons. I think most people were so inspired that they ordered new knives and maybe axes as soon as they got home."
