Luke Bohanna reviewed: Taster pottery throwing lesson (various dates)

"I was booked into a Taster course with Jack as a birthday present back in 2019. I wasn't able to use my voucher at all in 2020 due to lockdowns but Jack was really accomodating and made sure we had a session booked in even though my voucher had expired. I had such a great afternoon with Jack! He was extremely welcoming and made the session really enjoyable for my first ever pottery throw. He gave clear guidance throughout the whole session. The studios are beautiful and I fully recommend anyone wanting to pottery throw to book in with Jack and Loam. A 5* experience!"

"Thank you for a really well organised and enjoyable course. Everything arrived in the post in good time and Alice sent reminders and clear instructions on how to join and what we needed. Sue reviewed: Stonecarving Weekend, Gloucestershire Cotswolds

"The woodland setting is lovely and the workshop uses clever ideas such as 3 legged tree trunk stand to work the stones on. Sebastian has a wealth of knowledge and experience of stone carving from around the world. There is an array of tools, many of which Sebastian had made himself and using them on a spare piece of stone was the best way to learn what marks they could make. Then it was choosing your stone from the many scattered around, making a clay model of your design and making a start. Sebastian was on hand with advice when you needed him. It was very relaxed and totally absorbing. I have been inspired to do more and highly recommend the course."

"The build a bag course was one of the best things I have done all year. It was so cool choosing the colour combinations and using the expert machinery and tools. Georgie was warm and friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed and laid back. I was amazed how much we achieved in just one day. People always comment on my beautiful backpack. Next I’m going to do the make a wallet in a day course. I thoroughly recommend these unique and special courses."

Katie reviewed: Card Collagraph Printing at Home

"Being introduced to collagraph on Scarlett’s course opened up so many more ways of mark making for me. It was so exciting to receive the materials box before the course, which was beautifully packaged. The guided videos were ideal to refer back to whilst making and experimenting, and Scarlett showed different ways of using the techniques and examples of other artists use of collagraph. I found Scarlett to be extremely knowledgeable about printmaking. Her approachable and fun style of teaching really showed it was possible to print at home with ease and to have meaningful experience online with the live video sessions, which I loved. It truly felt like being in a workshop working alongside people."

"Was a really good day, very enjoyable and ted was very knowledgeable about guitars and luthiery. Excellent learning to use tools like the band saw, table router, drills, scrapers and sanders. Ted takes you through each step and has some great tips and tricks. The instument was excellent and finished to a high standard even though it was only done in one day. Thanks to ted for a good time and will now look into making my own projects at home."

Maggie reviewed: Sculpt your own faithful dog!

"Just to say how much I’m enjoying using your kit to make a sculpt of my friend’s whippet as a surprise for her birthday. Your instructions are very clear though getting good photos of her dog without her knowing has been very challenging! I wondered if you could tell me where to buy the clay you include in the kit. I do some figurative sculpting with air drying clay but it’s more groggy and I like the finer texture of your clay, especially for smaller works. Many thanks, Maggie"

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Maggie ;-) Yes, the clay is a good quality one - I have sent an email with all the product information. Jo x"

"A very well paced and organised ZOOM workshop. The teaching was excellent and it was great to have a finished blue tit at the end of the course. Looking forward to taking part in the Toadstool workshop later on this month."

Gwen’s Felted Paintings responded:

"Hello Liz. Thank you so much for your lovely review! It was such a pleasure meeting you and I look forward to seeing you again in a couple of weeks time :). Best wishes, Gwen"

Alexander MacLellan reviewed: 'Bag in a Day' Practical Leather Course - Rucksack/ Backpack

"I did this course back in December in time to make a bag for my wife for Christmas and it was brilliant! Under Georgie's expert tutelage I was able to make something that will last my wife a lifetime, I was also able to choose different colours and types of leather. My other half is thrilled with it and at first she didn't believe me when I said I'd made it. I can't recommend this course enough. It was a lovely atmosphere to learn a new skill in as well."

Amy Severino reviewed: Needle felt a blue tit (Midday on Fridays and 3pm on Saturdays)

"Gwen's online workshop was a delight. The kit came beautifully packaged, with high quality supplies. Her instruction was so easy to understand and the way she handled the class with an aerial camera along with her own face in the gallery so we could see her while she was instructing, along with the project demonstration was simply perfect. Gwen gave instructions and demonstrated very clearly and was open to questions throughout the workshop. She didn't rush anyone and was attentive by checking in on each of the participants. I highly recommend Gwen's workshops. It was a lovely way to spend a few hours, and I am so pleased with the result of my project."

Gwen’s Felted Paintings responded:

"Amy, thank you so much for such a lovely review. It was such a pleasure meeting you (and your two lovely little dogs ☺️). I am so pleased that you enjoyed it!"
