Learn wire forming techniques and cabochon stone setting on this three hour silver jewellery making course. You will be gently guided through a multitude of silver jewellery techniques to enable you to make a pendant or pair of earrings in wire and add a pre made stone setting to your design. You will learn how to: * Form wire using pliers, mallets and formers * File wire to create good connections for soldering * Solder your forms and cabochon stone setting * Sand your work to create even surfaces * Set a cabochon stone into your work * Polish your piece Materials: 15cm of wire, a bezel cup and a gemstone are included in the course fee Tutor: Jess Level: Suitable for beginners and those with some experience are welcome too

I was interested in making and designing from a very early age and developed my first jewellery range in 2000. I then discovered my love for teaching in 2004 and have been developing my courses ever since. I have a home teaching studio for 1:1 & 1:2 sessions and in 2017 I set up a teaching studio at Yardley Arts where I can teach up to 11 learners. Qualifications: BA in Designed Metalwork and Jewellery from BCUC and MA Royal College of Art Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewellery.
