Cabochon Tree of Life Pendant Making Workshop at Yardley Arts Northamptonshire
Description
Cabochon Tree of Life Pendant (BI28Z7YHa). The Cabochon Tree of Life Pendant Workshop will enable you to set your beautiful Cabochons in a wire Tree setting and transform them into amazing pendants. This technique is fantastic for cabochons and other flatter stones of all kinds. As well as how to set a stone, this workshop will also teach you how to form a beautiful tree using only wire and hand tools. The techniques covered in this course form a great foundation for developing more advanced wire jewellery skills but also equip you with everything you need to make professional quality pendants from home. A fun and versatile class not to be missed! Learn the age-old technique of wire wrapping, a great way of showing off shaped stones. No soldering or gluing is involved and you will learn to twist and interlock wire to create stunning statement pieces. Techniques covered in this class include: * Use pliers, wire and basic tools to create a beautiful wire set pendant. * Professionally cut, shape and loop wire. * Create swirls in wire. * Set a stone within your design. * Wrap wires securely together without ends that catch. * Make a bail to hang the pendant from. * Form a tree shape over your stone using multiple pieces of wire. * Securely set a stone in your tree design. You will create a wire wrapped crystal pendant to treasure for years to come. Although no previous experience is necessary, this is a Level 2 in the Tree of Life Pendant workshops and can be a little fiddly at times. Suitable for all. Materials: Sterling silver wire is included in the course fee. Stones are in addition to your course fee and can be purchased on the course. They range from £3-£35 depending on the size and type of stone you choose. Tutor: Dee Level: all including beginner.
