A fun and versatile class not to be missed! Learn the age-old technique of wire wrapping, a great way of showing off shaped stones. No soldering or gluing is involved and you will learn to twist and interlock wire to create stunning statement pieces. Techniques covered in this class include: * Use pliers, wire and basic tools to create a beautiful wire set pendant. * Professionally cut, shape and loop wire. * Create swirls in wire. * Set a stone within your design. * Wrap wires securely together without ends that catch. * Make a bail to hang the pendant from. * And more… You will create a wire wrapped sea glass pendant to treasure for years to come. Bring your own or choose a piece of sea glass collected from Cornwall, Charmouth, Seaham and more. The glass comes in all shapes, sizes and a few colours. There is a lot to chose from. No previous experience is necessary. Materials: Sterling silver wire and sea glass are included in the course fee. Tutor: Dee Level: all including beginner.

Message the tutor

I was interested in making and designing from a very early age and developed my first jewellery range in 2000. I then discovered my love for teaching in 2004 and have been developing my courses ever since. I have a home teaching studio for 1:1 & 1:2 sessions and in 2017 I set up a teaching studio at Yardley Arts where I can teach up to 11 learners. Qualifications: BA in Designed Metalwork and Jewellery from BCUC and MA Royal College of Art Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewellery.
