Description
I know we all crave a perfect bag to take away for an overnight stay, or even shopping to put all your purchases in. It would also make a super Christmas present for someone! This whole day workshop will teach you how to use a pattern, cut fabric, add interfacing, add a lining and pockets, stitch together and then finish off with hardware and handles. The workshop includes the interfacing, all notions and hardware/handles for you bag. We do have some fabric you can use for lining or pockets – will will send details of how much fabric you need for the main body. This workshop takes place in our Sewing School. Wendy Gardiner will be your teacher: “It’s hard to describe what I do for a living in a few words because it’s also a hobby, a passion and indeed an addiction! My Serendipity career in sewing has led from Editor of leading sewing magazines to author of 17 books, presenter of countless DVDs and YouTube clips to guest presenter on Create and Craft TV and Ideal World TV. I also run and teach at Creative Sewing Weekends, write projects and techniques articles for various magazines under my guise of Brand Ambassador for The McCall Pattern Company and organise extensive workshop programmes for the Knitting and Stitching Shows and Festival of Quilts...oh, and I've written the book that accompanies the Great British Sewing Bee. I look forward to sharing my passion for sewing with you!” This workshop takes place upstairs in our new sewing school and I’m afraid we do not have a lift. We do have a toilet and refreshment station upstairs.
