Stained Glass Sun-Catcher - Two Morning Workshop

Join us for an exciting and creative course where you'll learn to craft an eye-catching stained glass sun catcher! In this hands-on workshop, which will run over two consecutive days, you'll create a stunning piece, approximately 20 x 20 cm, using your choice of gorgeous coloured art glass. You'll master the copper foil technique, made famous by Tiffany, to bring your design to life. To complete your masterpiece, you'll add loops so it’s ready to hang and catch the sun's rays perfectly. With a small group of just 6 participants, you'll receive personalised attention to help you create something truly beautiful. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop new skills, express your creativity, and have fun! Join us and let’s make something beautiful together! Skills you will master: - Cutting and grinding glass like a pro - Applying and burnishing copper foil - Soldering your pieces together with precision Only 20 mins from Tunbridge Wells, East Grinstead, Edenbridge, Uckfield and Crowborough, our studio is in a beautiful converted oast with exposed beams and gentle views across the farmland.  Filled with mouth-watering aromas from The Oast Bakery, where Alison prepares our delicious refreshments, this is the perfect place to escape the pressures of daily life and enjoy some creative time for yourself.  Our aim is to offer the chance to unwind, learn a new skill and meet like minded people whilst enjoying a cuppa and a slice of cake. If we are successful, we can either issue a refund (minus a 10% administration fee) or offer you a place on an alternative course, subject to availability.

The Oast Studio was started in 2021, as the COVID restrictions came to an end and we realised there was a need and a demand for people to come and spend time crafting together. We paired together our love of food and sewing and The Oast Studio was created! We now offer over 80 different craft and sewing classes from Needle Felting & Basket Weaving to Sewing & Painting. With freshly baked treats at every class plus home cooked lunches at all our full day courses.
